it might be because its time for me to get married like some of my friends did. sometimes we discuss about marriage. most of my friends think like we have to go back to get married and come back again. I have also seen similar statements in sajha.com as well sometime back. i was thinking abut it and was curious about this thing: most of the time this type of discussion is started by a guy not a girl. do only nepali guy( i dont mean all here) who lives abroad go back to nepal to get married? how about nepali girls (not all)? do they also go back to nepal to get married and come with spouse or they generally dont go back to nepal for marriage purpose?

Is it just me or is there someone else who felt exactly the way I am feeling right now. I read the whole thread, word by word, line by line -- probably the first time in my life. Throught out my reading, I had 900 different ideas poppin' in my head. Some replies were awesome, some were hilarious and some were, well, same ol' shiz about ego, education, men, women, stupid speculations and moronic imaginations. Moronic because some people seem to know what is going to work and what is not going to work like back of their hand... something like in Calculus, where you use this formula to get certain answer... well life is not calculus and nobody knows what is going to work in the future. I've seen many guys who went to Nepal and got married with someone unknown and are doing perfectly fine. I have seen guys who dated for seven crazy years before they got married, only to find their lives stuck between the rock and the hard place. I mean, how do you know what is going to work? How do you know it won't work good with an egoist guy? How do you know it won't work if the wife makes more than a husband? How do they know it will work out perfectly with a man/woman who have known each other for a long time? I have gone through this in my personal life too -- seems like "they" know everything? How do people know so much? Why should we believe them blindly? Some people seem to sit beside the well and speculate how deep the water is, how dangerous it is going to be if you jumped in it.. Well, I guess you won't know until you've jumped in it. So, going back to where I began, is it just me or what? I read the whole thread and 900 ideas popped in my head and at the end I was damn lost. I am lost, thats why I am making it intentionally irritating by writing everything on same paragraph. Where am I?

aaaaaaaarrrggghhhh! this topic drives me mad. why did anyone had to start it?? and btw, I can't help clicking on it either :P Taauko ghumaiyo..grrr. In a way, I also wonder the same thing. I am 26 now and my parents are really worried that I will remain an old maid. I don't mind...but they said for my future its important. In a way I undertand what they mean. I am thinking of getting married, but the problem is..I don't like anyoneeee! oh yea, and the guy has to be a nepali re. before I came here where I am now, my parents gave me a warning saying 'kaley ra gorey hudaina'. Hmm...I don't mind nepali guys, but the most I met are so irresponsible. I like a guy who is responsible and serious about his future. The ones I've met are the ones who smoke gazza and party every weekend. I am not a party pooper. I love hanging out once in a while, but I can't do that every weekend. And gaazza is not my type of thing. Also, I grew up overseas, and I have hard time relating to guys who directly came from nepal. I find them so much more westernized than I am though I have been exposed to the western world more than they have. My parents have given me a warning saying if I don't marry in 2 years time, I will have to marry someone they choose. In a way I am scared, but I guess if arranged marriage works out for our parents..why not for us?
