.Rampure Bhai:

I know Prakash. He, his mom and sister Roopa used to run probably the most popular tea station around 1995 till 2000; I used to eat "khana" there. Now they have a "fancy-shop" there. It was just in front of Tulsi Foto studio, right? And, yes Tulsi is Prakash's brother. Tulsi bought land/house adjacent to another photo studio that was run by Prakash's relative, just on the right side of Prakash's shop. Tulsi has a newly built good house there, and shifted his business there. Sadly, Tulsi lost his youngest child (Kalu) around 2006.

Don't remember exact date, but Chizu came back from Japan around 2003. He is running a well maintained gym and a good restaurent at Rampur on the right side of his existing house.

You might not know that "bank" is no longer there near what we used to call bank gate.

Rampur has grown a lot in the last 10 years.

Does anybody have recent photos? Please post them here.

And, how many of you know that "Bhusal Baje" passed away in 2006. We all felt sad for a person with so many memorable events throughout life died in extreme poverty. His sons are somehow making livings, but none appear successful. Some of his sons are still running canteen at the same place. Mama is also back to his original place from where he was 'banished' after bhang-kanda. Lama ran a canteen for sometime until Mama was allowed to re-enter.

(-) Bro,

I was there when Tulsi dai's son passed away. He was admitted to kanti bal hospital. And, the famous tea station in our time was Chacha and Tyson Dai's shop.

Arun ji

I am a year or two junior than Bharat Devkota. I went rampur school then moved to kathmandu for higher education.

And thank you Narayangarh Suburb ji for posting the beautiful picture of our bank gate, old bank, rampur primary school building.

Himalaya ji,

Namaskar

Nalu  "Som" is from Rampur Bazaar. His oldest brother Ram Kumar Gurung was in germany. Nalu knows Shyam Babu also. By the way Shyam babu how are you doing these days? Last time i heard u were  in north carolina. Are u also in this blog?

Chandra Gurung From Chandra stationary, Rampur Bazaar is also here in the usa. I talked to Bharat long time while he was here in Texas. I heard Murali and Mohan dai are doing extermely good.

Bimal from "Bimal Hardware" is in omaha doing good.

Do you guys know Shyam Adhikari from the "ghol" near murali's house? He was still hanging out in Rampur bazaar till 7-8 years ago. i do not know what he is doing these days?

arunsharma bro,

"Chi ma re" still exists, but it moved thrice, and now located near Putali Bazar and present name, I think, is Kathmandu restaurent. Owner is same. Can you forget every individual fried items from 'buffalo's nose to tail' he used sell ??!! Huh!!

The most extreme item I ever had there recently is "sabu mhicha", made using bone-marrow wrapped into a piece of 'saat-patre', tied with thread to protect content, and cooked gently as a 'fry-momo'...mouth watering na??

By the way, do you know "Pate Dhido restaurent" in Thumsi, across Narayani River? It's amazing, and once featured in Kantipur TV in 2006 for it's best quality dhido, rayo-sag and masu taste. I have met many Rampures there in different times.

Let Shivaghat remain another chapter.
