yah RODS was a very good team until the young people  started to go to different places for different reasons. Chiz Kumar ( the best goal keeper) went to Japan then everybody else........... Tyson was a very good player too? The team from Saradanagar was also very good. I remember once there was a football match in Tandi and Rods people got in fight with the tandi's team. A lot of injuries........... I think some one hit sujan on the face and his tooth fall. Sujan ( hakku) and Rajesh were another good players.

Is there any team  these days in rampur?

Lau Thread ko title chai IAAS ani koora chai RODS ko ma pooghi sakechha.....Aaba kata bata suru garma ta....

RODS represent the rampur Bazar but when it comes to football whole western chitwan represent the RODS. specially when that fight erupted in tandi area. Suresh gurung (now in Hongkong), danfe guy  and Gom Pd gurung (now in UK) were the best football player in that tournament. No doubt Sujan hakku and Rajesh KC were good players and chize was  "goalkee kasto chumbak jasto"..hehehehe..we also had another goalkeeper Raj Kumar shrestha from Sharda nagar town and the best player ever had in paschim chitwan was Gyan bahadur Pulami (GBP) Akka Jhilkey, he also played for mahendra police club @ MaharajGunj but don't think GBP ever played for RODS

Rampure bhai there are no teams in rampur these days but there are a lot of tapppeess thats what I heard from local source..

They also had a very good band, forgot the name, but guys were well skilled. Arjun was a good vocalist. I wonder whether they still perform. It's true Himalaya178 ".....there are a lot of tapppeess........" Unfortunate Rampur Bazar.

_, Arjun would have performed if he was still in nepal but due to his tight schedule at work  in Belgium and less time for music and internet is keeping him off the music industry..hehehehe

all others,  i recognize a few of the names mentioned above.... remember meeting rajkumar, chizu, arjun ( who had a good voice), bishal,etc....sujan dai and bharat dai were both in rampur while i was there..... i think i know narayanghat suburb, though i am not sure....definitely know  kale krishna....though he might have forgotten me (one of the many "fuchhes" as he used to call his juniors) ....

and did someone mention above that gupta quit drinking????.....thats truly amazing

sad to know Kalu passed away.....condolences to tulsi dai and bhauju .... in the first two years of my rampur days, our evening always used to be spent at 'rupa ko pasal' with chiya ra churot....
