You are right lightnup, that's the correct location. It was abandoned except for the musical rehersals. It was no more than just a skeleton until 2003-4, which was later reinnovated by "Om Shanti" (a religious? network all over Nepal). Now, probably they use it for themselves and not the club.

NSU imposes educational strike in Chitwan

Kantipur Report

CHITWAN, Sept 5 - Students affiliated to Nepal Students Union (NSU), student wing of the Nepali Congress, on Friday, has called on shut down of all educational institutions in Chitwan district protesting against the Maoist youth front Young Communist League (YCL) attack on students of Rampur Agricultural Campus.

The agitating students said that one student identified as Suv Gurung got his hand and leg broken, while other eleven students have been injured in the YCL attack.

The NSU also did not let vehicles ply road at Narayangarh for an hour this morning demanding compensation for the victims and punishment to those involved in the attack.

NSU has accused Campus Chief IT Dhakal of using YCL over the dispute of NSU and All Nepal National Independent Students Union-Revolutionary (ANNISU-R) regarding relocation of students in another building in the campus hostel.

Sad news above..how long will students fight among themselves on political grounds and thus the outsiders like YCLs rule over our campus.

A goodnews, though a hearsay, is that IAAS will be a university soon. Dr. S. M. Shrestha, present dean, is Finance Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai's classmate at Gorkha. So, is Prof. Maheshwor Sapkota. It is likely that there will be a good chunk of money in new budget for the new university.

There is a strong 'intellectualo-political' activity going on at Rampur to make it a University. When an IAAS alumna is a Prime Minister, Rampures feel that the best time has come to hit the iron, when it is hot. In addition, though a dirty political step, many vital positions at IAAS have already been given (or, in process) to Maoists and Madhesis so as to get favor from the present government. Whatever be the preparation (good or bad), let our IAAS become a university soon.

_, are you kiddin me? who the F*** will do any good for public? Has anything changed then and now? Unless, students stop following their son of bit*** like maggot sticking on their ass, country will face the same thing? And you are saying, Kasahi Prachanda will care about IAAS just being rampur alumni? lol, this mofo and intellectual psychopath Bhattarai won't do any good for education sector. Believe me they won't. If people get quality education and every problems of the country will be resolved how can they brainwash people again get the regime. Who will carry rifle and point the gun and innocent fellow citizen. Who will bombard government offices. Who will be ready for the suicide bomber and human shield?
BTW, is this the same IP who used to be a poultry industrialist? Came into politics? Poor fella his downfall started then.
