an official statement by maoist side is highly unlikely at this time when there is a direct confrontation with the king ..that move can only strengthen the moral of RNA n king which can prove counter productive to maoists, there was a big rift between the two supremo's in their party may be its just that they r on a threshold of splitting which needs a slightest push...that 'push' depends on the diplomacy of king n his counterparts....Lets hope for the best.

Does it mean that Krisna Mahara is trying to get a good hold of the maoist party by sidelining Prachanda and Baburam???? Rumors were already there that BADAL was sidelined long time back...

ya but if it is true,its a definite setback for the maoist and a shot in the arm for the RNA and King.........i had read an artilce recenly which quoted some rights activists who had met BRB and Prachanda some time in the late nineties and BRB had indicated then, that if the integrity of the country was at stake he would be in favour of giving up the armed struggle..........BRB must feel that stage has now definitely come post feb1.

let us hope so..anyway so far I saw the news only on himalayan times..but anyway truth will come out sometime soon...

I heard that Babu Ram Bhattrai is more Democratic than Prachanda. It is only matter of better choor. We have seen Lenin?s and Saddam?s Fall. Time comes; they have to die like Fulan Devi died in India.

Talking about Maoists... indeed they have hurt many many people.. for what?

They never came up with the plan/promise in case they will win and rule the country. They just fuc*ing kept on killing people who are against their thinking,and created havoc with all thosenonesense bandhs. In my opinion, I will prefer a united maoist then a divided one. For, once good sense prevails to everyone, a single unit will be easy to handle than a fragmented metastatic tumor, that will be harder to control and treat.
This trend of cult following and person linked politics is the main cause for the failure of political parties and maoists are no exceptions. If only personal egos and fear of someone else going ahead resulted trickery were not in the Nepali blood, we would have been in a different state.
