As Kids and young adults and even now-a-days we use words like,
Bidhyanasta yaar....maile gareko hoina..
Amma kaasam malai thaha chhaina......
Amma ragat mero cycle hoina yaar......
Thinking about how we used to word these phrases...LOL and habits like touching your head and chest again and again while crosing a river in the school bus. If anyone touched your neck you had to blow(phoooo) the hand....lol the myth of a golgaad.... if you stomp anyones leg you had to Dhog that person...while passing a small round the corner temple......we had to ring the bell put tika n circle the temple once. every time the evening light was turned on .......we kinda touch our head and then chest like to worship. and many more things we all do as a comon Nepali habit...Its not taught........but we all did it...our pyaro Nepali ways.
"oi, randa ko baan...!" - one whose wife is amateur whore or who sleeps with whore or something like that... khub bhanintho keta haru sanga rish utho bhane ro bhaneko terena bhana...

Oh yes Bhada ko cycle ....tyo pani KAICHI TYAK......LOL wasnt tall enough to ride it properly so Scissor style..LOL Tyak Tayk tyak gardai.....Ka ka pugne........LOL
Oh yes one more thing, taking pictures in photo studio with scenic beauty at the background, i do not thing people go to studio to take pictures these days.

Nice memory harka bro..........One thing is so funny in Nepal that......I bet everyone has done that and felt its effect.
everyone has STEPED ON SOMEONES GU (SH IT )....some where some time but no one can escape that GU...smelly sticky GU on your shoes ,slippers. LOL from picnic areas, inner gallis, side walks, parks etc........they are found everywhere is various colors, stages and shapes........LOL...and the smell...YUUKKHHHH !!!!
I remember those days when there were just few telephones around. Tyo bela ma euta tol ma euta jati phone hunthiyo ani tol bhori ko manche ko phone tye aaunthiyo. kasaiko phone aayo bhane the whole area would know. every now and then there would be some one shouting phone ayoooooo. haha i miss those days.
LOL laure boi that was funny.......I remember When we had our first phone........It was locked in a box so no one could dial out........

TV was rare teti bela. kotha ma manche na ataira tol ko phuccha phucchi ta jhyal jhyal ma ghundera ajai.... haha. Ani advertisement aayo bhane ta toilet ma line. bhara bhuri haru (including me ) sutera basne ani fight aayo bhane uthaidinu bhane ani fight aayo bhane jarakjuruk uthera aakha michdai fight herne ani fight sake pachi pheri sutne . Film sakera baira herda ta varanda ma chappal nai chappal. afno afno chappal khojda khojda hairan. Last last tira niskine haru ko ta chappal ani nahune. kosai ko euta chappal chut ma euta chai bari ma.
mero tole ma ek jana dai ko ghar ma video dekhauthyo.( praye jaso kunai na kunai thaun ma video dekheuney chalan cha, a kind of good business that time)....we had to pay money to watch indian movies.....NILO CHALCHITRA pani chalthyo tyo sano HALL ma hahaha.....teti bela mero BAGMATI ko paani pani safa nai thiyo( wasnt so bad) tole ko keta haru sanga paudi khelna jantheum.......halka phulka shikhar churot ko puff pani khantheun tei time ma ji pani suruwat bhayiyo(im not addicted as a matter of fact)....chocolate ma orange ball, white rabbit ra ek dum mahango DAIRY MILK popular thiyo......TV programme ma NTV ko natak haru manoarthyo.....I remember TADHA KO BASTI, CHAKRABYU, RAAP, .....BHUSAN DAHAL ko SUNDAY POP pani kum thiyena(TV was rare, tole ma kasailay tv kinyo bhane saan nai arko, halla nai besi hunthyo haha).......good old days...
When I was in my teens and had just started drinking beer, I
used to feel sense of pride to show to my fellow travelers that i am drunk.

they met.
Gang fights were common and most of the time it was due to friend
falling in love with a girl whose brother happened to be the member to another gang.
Going to Jogbani to watch triple x was common among Biratnager
folks.
Staring at someone would mean you are challenging that guy
for a fight.
When ever my parents used to go out somewhere esp during the weekend they used to give me Rs.5 for lunch. ani ta sathi lai bolayo ani sathi pheri cycle chadera ajha ....ani kalanki mandir ko thyakka side ma euta sano bhatti jasto thiyo it was so so popular it was named Budi ko aalu. It was run by an old lady and she used to make the best aalu, hence the name budi ko aalu. I was abt 5-6 yrs by then but i still rember that taste and and i still have craving for that aalu. Anyways, tya gayo sathi ra ma cycle ma which was a 5 mins ride from my house. sathi le pedal hanthiyo saki nasaki ani ma ta handle cover garthiye. tya gayo ani Rs 2 ko aalu ani Rs 2 ko cheura order garyo ani Rs 1 ko bhatmas. dubai jana tanna khayo ani pheri nepathya band ko chekeo chekeo geet gaudai cycle ma ghumna gayo. oh those were the days i'll miss for ever.
laureboi..you bring back memmories of my child hood..I was just like you then bro.......I used to tell everyone to wake me up when fight scene came and the rest I usually slept...LOL and while riding a bike I normally covered the handle and my friend paddled..One day going down the steep road of Gyaneshowr ko Oralo....I was laughing and .....I ate a bug that accidently went in my mouth and in my throath and I couldnt spit it out on time...............damn I dont even know what kind.......it got digested LOL
watching Zee horror show was so fun....No one wanted to be near me because I used to sneak up behind during climax and BOOOOO.....scared the pajamas out of that person......mostly my younger brother...who used to jump sooo high when scared...........Cracked me up like crazy.
Before cable.....Tadha ko basti was so fun.....TAKTUNG TAKTUNG TUNG DUNG DHUNG DHISSS.....hoina yea bajhye.....yo chameli ta kasto thuli bhako......hijo bharkhar sani thiye......khai eta aau ta kaaji baa ko kaakha ma aajhai aatauchha ki aataudaina herau ta....LOL.......

During saturday movies......take a bath,eat lunch and sit before the TV like half and hour before the afternoon programmes started.......just watched the rainbow screen and listenend to the music...all excited.
Reagarding the cycle paddling.... I was around 15 years.. one of my fren had a cycle..... he was quiet short but his cycle was tall for him.... One day me n my best pal met him at Balaju Bypass... and as we all were going on the same direction,,, we decied to go by the same cycle.... The cycle owner fren decided to cover the handle,,, my best pal decided to paddle... and me the smart ass decided to stand behind on the rods.... We went towards Balaju park (baisdhara)... if u guys know the area u will know the danger curvy oralo with potholes everywhere.... we just ended 2 minutes in the cycle... the cyccle went astray after one pothole and i jumped off the cycle as i was standing... nothing happened to me.... but total of 17 stiches to my frens at Buddha Clinic ... plus heavy scolding and some kick from my brother at home.....
I still remember watching teleserial rupmati, alikhit,bhok ra bhittaharu, bhid dekhi bhid samma etc. Twaka tukka was popular followed by sangalo by dinesh dc. Fight bhayeko sabai film ramro ma ganinthyo bhane ek sin pani fight nabhako chai lastai jhur film hunthyo. The quality of film was determined by the number of fight scenes rather than story and presentation.
