What are the pros and cons for getting NRN card?
I need a work authorization to work for us companies remotely from Nepal?

That guy who asked the question has few videos in youtube. He is with prem gaha ji asking for bansaj ko nagarikta. Although he has a valid point,i dont think it was the right place and right tone. We should take anything we get. It is a time for celebration not protest. He kinda got his arse handed down by jhankri. Sounds like he was there solely to make Kul acharya look bad. We can take nrn ctzp for now and continue our struggle for same rights as bansaj. Seemed like some kinda power struggle rather than working for the big goal.

Does anyone recently acquire NRN nagrita.

I went to CDO to inquire about the process for NRN nagrita.
- They are asking to first complete the procedure to relinquish the nepali nagrita even if I have a foreign citizenship.
The procedure also requires old Nepali passport(s) to be submitted along with nepali nagrita.
( Not sure where i have kept my old Nepali passport)

- they didn't tell anything about benefits for kids(who are born here in Nepal but hold foreign citizenship/passport) from parents who got NRN nagritia

deepocean, have you got a chance to see or consult with lawyer in details what rights comes with nrn nagarikta? Mostly regarding keeping ancestral properties or buying properties? what it requires to take entry permit to Nepal I believe they are not issuing passport with this nagarikta probably might have to apply 10 years visa and renew every 10 years ? How long nrn nagarikta holder can stay in Nepal ? Only up to 3 generations NRN nagarikta will be allowed. Would you please share if you ever get NRN rights in details? Thank you in advance ?

It's a citizenship as stated in the constitution and should be like that but NRNs are being bullied to believe it's only an id card.
Its because nrns dont have unity. That guy was there trying to attack kul achhrya and he got some arse whiipping from rajkumari for that. Rajkumari seemed like she had some negative experience in the past and had some vengeance against nrns. So it just came out.
It seems like Nepali people unconsciously desire for some dectator to come rule and fix things for them after yearsof frustrationsbfrom corrupted leaders. So any one who uses hate speech is all of a sudden hero overnight. So may be its for votes.
Bottom line is if you have taken foreign ctzp then sooner or later we have to think we r outsiders. NEPALI leader nor people are open minded as other dual ctzp countries to give full rights. NEPALI ppl seem very vengeanceful towards nrns. If they find a way to exploit us then they would use that against nrns. Ctzp technicalities was their new weapon to use against nrns after finding out how vulnerable foreign ctzp holders sre after ravis case. They are pissed that this new ctzp gives so much power to nrns so they wannt us to believe its not a ctzp.
They already stated no passport, nrn id card needed to even apply, 500 dollars to apply..lol whats next..they dont have good intentions guys neither do most Nepalis in Nepal for nrns.

Those who are OK with this new Nagarikta are saying that it is absurd to ask for political rights and bamsaj ko nagarikta in Nepal once one has decided to become a citizen of a different country. Their argument is that dual citizenship/political rights is not compatible with the current नेपालको कानून and that the law would need to be amended to accommodate dual citizenship. . They say this is similar to a US green card in many ways. Everything except political rights. Those who opted for a full US citizenship did so willfully - there was no gun to their head. You can't have your cake and eat it.

Maybe they should make an exception for Gurkha soldiers as their situation is a little different.

The bamsaj demanders have their own agenda too. Gaha Magar , from what I understand, was ousted from NRN because of something he did, and he has an axe to grind.

The whole thing is a big shit show of the rich, corrupt and politically connected.

I don't care about voting rights in Nepal . Its not like Nepali people get to choose their prime minister or ministers. There will be the same old farts for another 20 yrs no matter who they vote. I dont think any genuine nrn would like to do dirty politics in Nepal either. If someone really wants to make a change they can always give up their foreign ctzp and regain bansaj ctzp. However, if they have taken nrn ctzp i think they will forfeit that option now because unlike before now you woukd have to formally renounce.
Having said that no one was physically captured and held gun in their head to apply for foreign ctzp but there was social and economical pressue to apply for one in their coubtry of permanent residency. In the usa green cards have almost same privillages as ctzns but in europe and aus they cant go very far with just permanent reaidency. The pressure is no less than someone getting held at gun point. But I guess Nepal and Nepalis in Nepal want to see nrns suffer no matter where they are. They would rather jave us wash dishes and do menal jobs for generations while holding Nepali nagarikta to our chest while saving every pound or dollar and send it back so they can collect taxes and have fun with it.

You are 100% correct ehho2. बरु नागरिकता भन्नु भन्दा they should have called it "legal permanent resident of Nepali origin". The term "NRN Nagarikta" is misleading.

In my opinion calling citizenship is more beneficial. It opens possibilities of more rights and privillages in the future. Nrn card was already more like a green card. It gave some privillages but not exactly rights. For example you could ask for visa free entry to Nepal but at the discretion of the officer at the airport to grant or deny one.
I think we should stop giving it names such as green card or 3 rd class citizenship etc because its not one but the ill minded people in Nepal would start to treat like it was one if we- ourselves continue to believe so.

I guess it's pretty much confirmed now since the 1st Nepali to get this ctzp mr Kul achyara said this is something they are trying to change but in the future sometimes.
