I did not see any details what rights comes in that niyemawali ? In Vag 2 it was saying clearly beside political and administrative rights NRN nagarikta can practice social, economic, cultural rights but in Vag 3 it only says NRN nagarikta can be taken from embassy or jilla prasana where nagarikta was taken originally but did not included social, economic, cultural rights ? If any one find info on what rights comes with Vag 3 samsodhan please share.

Sounds like a hassle You have to bring in a Nepali citizen to vouch for you ray..what the hell is that and you need to take oath rey..most Nepalis who have taken foreign citizenship are the descendents of Nepalis who have lived there for hundred of years and now they are treating us as if they are doing some extreme favor. What is even cultural and social rights? Do i need to have right to be a part of a culture or be social with my friends or fam..somone who doesnt have a nagarikta can not be social in Nepal and cant practice culture? This whole idea is absurd. They should've just given dual ctzp using the same nagirukta we already have. Reading the niyamabali it sounds like a whole year process that has to be done in cdo and other offices in Nepal.

My understanding is , it just a way to collect original nagarikta from nepali who’s has taken second citizenship and screw them 🤓. This NRN nagarikta is made without any sense. NRNs are just busy celebrating and showing teej programs before and after a month of actual teej 😂 day. I think lots of NRNs are just happy without understanding details of NRN nagarikta and marketing as dual citizenship while it is not.

This new one doesn't make any sense to me. Not even the policymakers know what'll be the rights. These idiots will make it more difficult and say "NRN Citizenship are not allowed this and that".

I am not giving up my Citizenship for the new one. I'll hang on to it until they figure it out themselves. I am not going into Politics so they likely won't know for another 10 years or until they get computerized system at Airport and other places to be able to trace it.

I already see a big hassle while trasfering records from old nagarikta to new one. Also they are making us sign we will abide by the Nepali laws. No one is planning on breaking the law but it seems like the clause is added there just for the ambiguities so if they wanna screw an nrn they can take up his nagarikta for even j walking. We did not leave Nepal , Nepal was taken away from us by these stupid rules set by the politicans while we were earning and helping Nepal from foreign. This is absolutely nuts. The freaking nrn leaders and nrn groups are all crickets. No updates and no acknolodgements even. This probably is not too bad like everyone is saying. Of course there is hassle to get it but hopefully everything can be done from outside nepal through embassy in terms of process.

As far I know, law that was passed explicitly says nrn citizens can use social , cultural and financial rights . The only rights they don’t have is political and some kind of administrative rights to take govt jobs.

Based on these, my understanding is that it can be used to buy property, invest, protects inherited property, make passport etc. Ofcourse they made some hooks which makes is easy to revoke it, which has potential to get abused.

We have to wait a bit to see how court and other government bodies will interpret it as time comes pass on. All political group and bureaucrats kids are in western countries. I am sure they will do everything in their power to protect their kids right specially financial rights.
