I don't care about voting rights in Nepal . Its not like Nepali people get to choose their prime minister or ministers. There will be the same old farts for another 20 yrs no matter who they vote. I dont think any genuine nrn would like to do dirty politics in Nepal either. If someone really wants to make a change they can always give up their foreign ctzp and regain bansaj ctzp. However, if they have taken nrn ctzp i think they will forfeit that option now because unlike before now you woukd have to formally renounce.
Having said that no one was physically captured and held gun in their head to apply for foreign ctzp but there was social and economical pressue to apply for one in their coubtry of permanent residency. In the usa green cards have almost same privillages as ctzns but in europe and aus they cant go very far with just permanent reaidency. The pressure is no less than someone getting held at gun point. But I guess Nepal and Nepalis in Nepal want to see nrns suffer no matter where they are. They would rather jave us wash dishes and do menal jobs for generations while holding Nepali nagarikta to our chest while saving every pound or dollar and send it back so they can collect taxes and have fun with it.
