Just wondering...whats up with nepali guys? Ok..I am not gonna generalize that all of them are like that..but from some experience..personally and those of my friends it has happened almost every time. When you reject a nepali dude..nicely of course. They end up saying 'stop being so proud'...umm..WHATS THAT SUPPOSE TO MEAN?? I am certain for sure that I never act proud or show myself above others..but I still get those comments. Pisses me off for sure...cause I was trying to be nice. but still just wondering why the hell do they think like that?

it's your personal problem. Why are you bringing it up to sajha.trying to tell ppl that you get asked out or what? if you really want advice then make a video clip of how ppl ask you out and how you reject, and post it her. We can better analyze it and enlighten your wondering mind with realistic suggestions.

ok xena i think u r doing the same thing as couple guys above are doing..which is assuming. i don't think these guys get that often so it is a big deal to them :p

and i don't think u should get caught up with the word "proud". i think the word is actually used to describe the pain of rejection men go through rather than describing the girl's state of mind. if that make any sense? it's kinda like when they say "propose garne" which also basically means asking out / asking to be a gf (without really dating or anything). i know the first time i heard propose used by a guy talking about a gal, i thought he was talking about asking her to marry him but he just meant it as asking her out.

so u see, don't get caught up in just that one word...not just nepali men but men in general say one thing and usually mean something else...i'm sure u konw that :p

anyways to give u my input to your question...im no expert or anything but i guess with us nepali men, when we like a girl and decide to ask her out, we already make up our mind that not just she is the right one for me but i am the perfect one for her too. this is more in an innocent way than obsessive. so when guys r asking u out, they probably figured there is no way u would trun them down and when u do (and u have every right to choose your preference) they take the turn down way more seriously than men from other race.

but hey i'm not speaking for every nepali man so this is just my own perspective :-)

Xena,
it happens sweetie...:)
some are sweet n some are irritating! n this applies to both guys n gals
So, isn't it better to look for someone who's good for ya?
I still got one question-
did u mean 'whats up with nepali guys' or 'wassup with some guys'?
:P
there are still millions of guys from other nations...
u might wanna try em n see 'whats up with em'.
all in jest :)

Hukka Nepali: haha! that propose example was a really good way of explaining how words can be used. Yea, before I thought proposed was someone was getting enganged :D I guess it's the same with 'being proud" uff!

Birkhe Maila: Say..I like your idea! hehe! :D But it's not about going out. If I wanted to.. I wouldn't have received a comment like that. But, I do agree with your advice :)

i_nepali: no idea! Maybe they say it to all gals..khoi.

Xena, sometimes not only Nepali guys but all the guys start believing that they can be the best bf or husband or whatever. This is after they have a crush on someone. When the girl reject his offer, then his normal activities like food and sleep stop for a while and he starts talking nonesense for few days. May be it is when they say stop being proudy. My two cents.

Xena, I guess that's an expression of them being rejected. Nevertheless, nepali guys are nice:)

Its a human nature.. Not everyone can digest the feeling of being rejected without any resentment and that's the reason why they tend to point out the finger back to the one who rejected them.
You've got to take things easily sometimes though it may seem weird in the beginning. Slowly but surely they will tend to sulk in the fact that they are rejected and that's the bitter truth, so they will become normal. They might end of becoming very good friends of yours.
But this is not a general case as it does not apply to everyone, I am just trying to read the psychology of the minds of those who get rejected and become offensive.

Its pretty idiotic to generalize an entire population based upon you and your friends experience. Just because of holocaust does not mean every German is a Nazi. Grow up !
