A Nepali woman went to Pashupatinath with her 7 year old boy.
Boy: Look mom a cow, can we get some milk?
Mom: No son we can not, it's just a statue and they continued.
Boy again said: Look mom the tiger, will it attack us?
Mom: No beta its just a statue. It won't.
Boy: Look mom a dragon, will it spit fire on us?
Mom: It won't dear...its just a statue. Then they both enter into the templ...e premises.
Mom: Look son God, He is the master of the universe and will guide you. Please bow down in front of him and show some respect.
Son: Sorry mama, He can't be God. Its just a statue. If He is the master of the universe than just tell him to talk to me.
Mom was baffled.
Just to let you know, Vedas, Bhagwad Gita , Bible, Quran and most of other sacred scriptures prohibits Idol worship. Please read your scripture today. Please do not put God in a box.

The Vedas: "Andhatama pravishanti ye asambhuti mupaste"
"They enter darkness, those who worship the natural elements" (Air, Water, Fire, etc.). "They sink deeper in darkness, those who worship sambhuti." [Yajurveda 40:9]
Sambhuti means created things, for example table, chair, idol, etc.

Bhagvad Gita: "Those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires surrender unto demigods and follow the particular rules and regulations of worship according to their own natures." [Bhagavad Gita 7:20]

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:"
"Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God." [The Bible, Exodus 20:3-5]

Al-Qur'an: "It has been revealed to you, and to those before you that if you ever commit idol worship, all your works will be nullified, and you will be with the losers." [Al-Qur'an 39:65]
"God does not forgive idolatry,* but He forgives lesser offenses for whomever He wills. Anyone who sets up idols beside God, has forged a horrendous offense." [Al-Qur'an 4:48]

Have a good Tuesday. Please do not give up your right to think to anyone. Let not your fore-fathers make decision of your salvation.
May God guide all of us. Ameen !!!

your Nepali brother

Shiva brother: May peace be with you!

Thank you for taking time to raise questions. Appreciate your time. Sorry for the delay in answering it.

1)what do u say about the way that mohamad dude handled a 6 yrs old aiesha after marrying her?

My grand-mother married my grand father when she was 9 and it was not 1400 hundred years ago :). Back in those days, that was the culture. That was the culture of the Arabs. Muhammad did not even went ahead and make the purposal although Aiesha (May God be pleased with her) was his best friend's daughter. Abu Bakr (May God be pleased with him) brought that purposal. It was God's way of protecting prophet Muhammad's sayings. She became the second highest number of hadiths (prophet's sayings) after Abu Hurairah (May God be pleased with him).

It was God's plan i would say. She also was one of the biggest scholars of Islam.

2)what do u say abt the way mohamad raped the wife of his adopted son?

Well he did not rape her. He married his adopted son's wife  after his adopted son divorced here to teach his followers that adopted son and real son are not the same.

The reason prophet Muhammad (upon whom be peace) did what he did is to teach his followers what to do when his followers needs guidance. He is our role model. He married a divorced woman, so we can marry a divorced woman too . He married a widow to show us that we can marry a widow too. So on and so forth....

39how were the 3 tribes of medina decieved to truce and then killed one by one after entering the city?explain?

Well that was war. Actually Jews of the Medina entered in a treaty and betrayed prophet Muhammad (upon whom be peace).
Later they helped Meccan pagans to fight against prophet Muhammad.
A guy from one of the tribes converted to Islam and he wanted to join Army of prophet Muhammad (upon whom be peace). Although Muslims were losing that time, he did not care. He was soldier of God. He was a kind of person who was trusted by the Jews, Pagans and also his tribe.

Prophet told him, if he wants he may break their coalition and he did.

Banu Qurayza, a Jewish tribe in Medina was involved in the treason and they surrendered to prophet Muhammad's army. Banu Qurayza requested Saad bin Muaad (May God be pleased with him) to be their judge to rule their case and as he was their friend before he accepted Islam.

Saad bin Muaad (May God be pleased with him) ruled their case. It was Saad bin Muaad's decision as he was leader of one of the tribes and he was hurt on that war.

4)if all religions are the same and worship the same god ,why du u stone peoples to death (even today) for changing the faith?

I would say revive the religion of your ancestors (Santana Dharma) by stopping the idol worship and accepting the teachings of the final messenger (upon whom be peace).

5)why do u always insist on telling koran the final word of god though it was written at the time of uthman ,one of the khalifs after muhamads death??

Uthman (May God be pleased with him) compiled the Qur'an. He was friend of prophet Muhammad (upon whom be peace). He and other friends of Muhammad sat together after prophet's death and compiled the book. The Qur'an literally means the recitation and the book is called Musab.

6)why did muhamad put the phrase 'and muhamad is his last messenger' in the kalmaah? dont you smell the thirst for authority and some foul game?if there could be many before him ,why not after him?

He did not put that himself. God put that for him. He did not even know he was a prophet till he was 40 years old.

7)what was the status of dhimmis(christians and jews ) in muslim lands till now if they wordhip the same god?u guys stole the whole philosophy and story from the and they are forbidden to build new churches, ride on horses, bear arms and lots more rules.

Actually no country on earth practices Islam fully. Not even Saudi Arabia. Muslims should let people of other faith practice thier religion. There is no force in the religion of Islam.

8)why is it so that a religion which u say preaches peace always talks of kiling the others?ß what is the option for a non.muslim according to your pliagiarism book of yours?death or coversion right??

No brother. Actually Islam did not spread because of sword as potrayed by Crusades. It spread by invitation. The friends of prophet Muhammad (upon whom be peace) left after his death as they knew the value of this religion. Most of them were idol worshippers and they wanted to share their experience with other human beings and spread the message of Islam to humanity. For an example, in China they went as merchants. The people were impressed by the scaling system they had, contrary to other Chinese business man. The Chinese business man went to king and complained that the foreigners were taking their business.
The king called the Muslims and asked them to leave. But public stood up and said "these Muslims do not cheat us with scales and give us the right weight whereas our fellow Chinese business man cheat us."
So the king had no option but to let them stay.
By good actions of Muslims actually Islam spread on all the corners of the globe. During the time of Saladin, many people in Jerusalem accepted Islam was Saladin ordered not to kill them and let them practice their religion. On the other hand, Crusades killed all the Muslim when they first captured Jerusalem.

9)why do you worship the kaaba, the prophet, the book ali, husein(the shias)?well u dont use abeer and tika but adoring and respecting someone to insanity and total devotion is actually worshipping ,right? so you are polythiests too!!!

We do not worship Kaaba. People who perform Hajj or Umrah circumbent Kaaba. The reason why the pilgrims do that is because prophet Muhammad (upon whom be peace) did that. It's just revival of his sunnah (actions).

10)i am a hindu, i eat bef, dont wear my janai, give a sht abt jaat bhat, have slept with various women(including a turkish muslim girl;yupp she is unmarried ;u would love to stone her to death right?? ),i ve been to mandirs and worshipped stone figures only as a continuation of the tradition and i still feel i am a hindu , becoz its the law of karma and 'basudaiva kutumbakam' that makes me a hindu.can you choose stuffs that are rational and throw stuffs that are crazy from you gods own words as i do??

I was born in a Hindu family too and i used to eat beef too as i never thought cow was divine to begin with :).

Well i am not a big fan of stoning woman to death. As i believe God forgives all the sin except shirk (associating others in His worship).

I understand you do not want to leave Hinduism because you were born in Hindu family. Well i understand that as we have the same background. It's very hard for us to convert as our family thinks we betrayed them if we convert to Islam while they are happy if we convert to Christianity. The reason is on the back of our mind we think whatever a White man does is wonderful but we think Arabs or Muslims are bad. It's not your fault or mine. We have been raised like that.
This is what Hollywood and Bollywood or the consumer society has manipulated us. Anti-Muslim begots are everywhere. Noone mentions Hindu extremists, or Christian extremists but everyone brings extremism with Islam. There are good Muslims and bad Muslims. I condemn terrorism of any act too. It's very sad to see my faith being highjacked by few wolves. I do not know if those wolves exist for real or they are just mere characters created by certain department to control people.
Back in Nepal, we used to be proud that we were never ruled by British or any super power on earth but now our youth are very happy to server British Military, Singapore Police or Indian Army or where ever UN deploys them.

May God guide all of us. Ameen !!!

Thank you!

your brother in humanity

Shiva brother:

I just wanted to share a funny story with you.

A British man came to a scholar and asked: Why it is not permissible in Islam for women to shake hands with a man?

The Scholar replied: Can you shake hands with Queen Elizabeth?

British man said: Of course not, there are only certain people who can s
hake hands with Queen Elizabeth.

Scholar replied: our women are queens and queens do not shake hands with strange men.

Then the British man asked the Sheikh: Why do your girls cover up their body and hair?

The Scholar smiled and got two sweets, he opened the first one and kept the other one closed. He threw them both on the dusty floor and asked the British: If I asked you to take one of the sweets which one will you choose?

The British replied: The covered one.

The Scholar said: that's how we treat and see our women.

Disclaimer: I do not know if this story is true or fictitious.

This one of the scholars i really like. I just wanted to get your opinion what you think what he is saying.

"We don't need no beauty pageants to prove to us who the most beautiful women on earth are! All Muslim women a beautiful, not because they shed their clothes to be ogled at by men!  Our sisters are the most beautiful because they value their beauty, protect their modesty and guard their chastity!" @paulsmith.. as a proof that you lack the ability to reasoning here's an example.. you asked :
He did not know how to read or write. May i know how can an illiterate person plagarize a book?
and a simple answer is.. he could have heard others tell the story.. (since you haven't said he was deaf I think thats one possibility).
and if you infact are proud that you are student of science then instead of highlighting the letters and making them large and bold... do answer with reason and facts..

Brother Paul Smith:
You asked if i have read Isa Vasya Upanishad. Yes i have. It is indeed one of the shortest Upanishads.

You asked what does this mean: "He is the self, a-kaayam, the bodyless, there is no kaaya. When there is no body, there are no muscles." Any thoughts on what it is trying to say?" http://www.spiritualgrowth.org.in/isaupa.htm

It is saying God does not have image. I think you probably have read Yajurveda. In Yajurveda chapter 40 verse 6, it is said "shudhama poapvidham" which means "He is bodyless and pure." <Yajurveda 40:8> Hinduism is commonly perceived as a polytheistic religion. Indeed, most Hindus would attest to this, by professing belief in multiple Gods. While some Hindus believe in the existence of three gods, some believe in thousands of gods, and some others in thirty three crore i.e. 330 million Gods. However, learned Hindus, who are well versed in their scriptures, insist that a Hindu should believe in and worship only one God.

The major difference between the Hindu and the Muslim perception of God is the common Hindus’ belief in the philosophy of Pantheism. Pantheism considers everything, living and non-living, to be Divine and Sacred. The common Hindu, therefore, considers everything as God. He considers the trees as God, the sun as God, the moon as God, the monkey as God, the snake as God and even human beings as manifestations of God!

Islam, on the contrary, exhorts man to consider himself and his surroundings as examples of Divine Creation rather than as divinity itself. Muslims therefore believe that everything is God’s i.e. the word ‘God’ with an apostrophe ‘s’. In other words the Muslims believe that everything belongs to God. The trees belong to God, the sun belongs to God, the moon belongs to God, the monkey belongs to God, the snake belongs to God, the human beings belong to God and everything in this universe belongs to God.Thus the major difference between the Hindu and the Muslim beliefs is the difference of the apostrophe ‘s’. The Hindu says everything is God. The Muslim says everything is God’s.

I prefer this site though: http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/

It has scriptures from all the religions and the translations are very good too i should say.

Shiva brother: I did not copy pasted on your answers to your questions. Yes i copied your questions. You should be thankful that i took time to answer your questions. May God guide you brother. Peace!
Any more questions, please feel free to ask.

I can see three brands of smartphones (Islam,Christians, Hindu) trying to conquer the world in the name of salvage.

Which ones is better ? Apple has its own logic to prove its superiority, Android has its one, Similarly Windows phone also striving for its place..

When you dismantle these phones to see what is inside you will see nothing new.

They all have CPU, screen, antenna, transmitter and memory.

Similarly each religion has GOD (CPU), preacher (screen), prayer (transmitter) and Book (memory)

Using smartphone (religion) may have become fashion today for some ppl.

If you don't have smartphone in the eye of ppl who have smart phones you are pakhey.
For ppl who love to boast their brand of religion  if you don't have religion you are in trouble.
for androids apple is not good enough and vise versa
For Islam follower Hinduism is not good enough and vise versa
For Christians, Islam is not good enough and vise versa
For windows phone user Android is not good enough and vise versa

I know some ppl can not live without smartphone, they need to text (pray), update Facebook (status of their religious belief) and boast to other who have different brand of phones. Apple ppl saying I don't like Android and vise versa.

Those who know, know that this all is childish play Life goes on without smartphones actually life could be better without smartphones. Then you will see and meet real ppl , go outside and do physical activities, enjoy nature rather than spending time in useless texting and Facebook updates.

And some ppl even boast that they have the latest version of android Kitkat and say you have old version (jelly beans).

Those who know, know that all this is childish play
Some ppl are so much afraid of new version coming and rending them old they declared that there will be no more new version android Kitkat is the last version
Those who know know all this is not true human knowledge always have moved forward. No one can cap the knowledge.

But what can we do? there are children in every society. and children love childish play.

Every components of smartphone existed before the smartphones. Some clever companies developed the idea that they can assemble the component and create new product, did it and look how much money those companies are making.

Similarly every components of every religion existed before the religion themselves, some cunning ppl developed the idea of religion and started to assemble the components they think will be useful for marketing.
In every religion there is nothing new the concept of which didn't exists before.

from time to time apple and Microsoft run advertisement belittling each other, same here time to time these ppl come and belittle other
Ppl who know, know it is a childish play. But children  are children they do things which childish.

religion survives because of selfish characters of human, we need better for us, here on earth and after death. So, give them the impression of profit of having religion they will adopt it for profit (heaven).
Those who are neutral, tell them that there is no harm in following religion , But if there is god and you don't have religion you will have bad life (hell).
This scare tactics will force the neutral ppl to follow religion. And those who don't accept at any cost, brand them as Satan.

Those who know, know what is religion.

----: Good Analogy though. Also, recently i ordered a HTC phone for my wife but she told me she would keep my i-phone and gave me that HTC. The reason why i ordered HTC was to see what would be the difference. Actually i did not even order for myself and she gave me as a gift.
Now i am exploring it and liking it so far.
One thing i did not know i will have HTC. When i came to US, majority of my friends started to carry cell phone right away. I did not get it for almost a year. I was thinking to myself why we need cell phone. I was old school back than. Later i got cel-phone and i had flat tires couple of times, and my friends came and rescued me as i did not know how to change tires. That time i thanked God for cell phone.
Samething with Islam and other religions. I was taking World religion Class at college and my professor told me we should go and visit other place of worship to get extra credit. I visited church. One of my friends, Thomas tried his best to convert me to Christinity saying i would go to hell if i did not believe Jesus as my savior. I did not feel threatened by his words. I moved on.
I was Sai follower and used to read book about Siddhi Baba and Sai Baba. Sometimes watch their video also. Once Siddhi Baba said: "Sab ka Malik Allah". I was suprised and wondered for few days. I asked one of my friends for a copy of the Qur'an. He brought me a English translation of Qur'an. I started reading it. I could not understand it. I asked my Muslim friend if i could visit his mosque. He said: "Sure".
I visited Mosque on Friday. I felt peace that time and the thing about my Muslim friend was he did not tell me if i did not become Muslim i would go to hell. I wanted to go back again. I visited many times and liked it. Than i started to Qur'an more still could not understand it. So i wanted to read the Bible first so i started with the Bible. After finishing the Bible, i started to read Bhagavad Gita. After finishing Bhagavad Gita, i read the Qur'an and things started to make more sense.
After i finished reading Quran, i wanted to read Upanishads. I read few Upanishads. I came to conslusion that God is one.

I thanked God for this opportunity and the site i found: http://www.sacred-texts.com/

This is what i came to conclusion:
After reading translated versions of the Upanishads, the Bible and the Qur'an and i was amazed to find the similarities between the Upanishads, the Bible and the Qur'an. All talk about one God.
In Eastern concept, we say Manu and on western concept we say Noah: same type of flood.
Ram, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus, Sai Baba were good human beings but not God.
Why would the Creator of this universe would come to the earth and eat, use rest room, go to market?
He is the One who created everything to begin with. Let's go to the basic, definition of God: "To be free from human limitation."
We know Ram, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus, Sai Baba had every human limitation than how can they be God?
Who would control the universe if God takes a break to take a nap or use rest room?
God is not human being. He is unique and absolute. There is none comparable to Him.

Sanskrit: "Na tasya pratima asti"
English: "There is no likeness of Him." [Svetasvatara Upanishad 4:19]

Sanskrit: "Ekam evadvitiyam"
English: "He is One only without a second." [Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:1]

"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor the son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?" [The Bible, Numbers 23:19]

---: Nobody is labeling you as Satan. Just wanted to make ourselves clear. I always believe every believer has a past and every unbeliever has a future. We (whether believer or unbeliever) all learn to live with the inevitable. Several hours or several years make no difference once you have lost eternity.

When you open your mind it works wonders. Things that you wouldn't have imagined will be done. In fact, other things will simply come naturally with the use of your brain. That is if you allow your mind to open up. I think this is the only difference between the inventors and the ordinary people. Inventors love to experiment, to use their minds to the maximum until they can create something out of the ordinary. But ordinary brains are just simply lazy to think. But if each individual uses his mind the way inventors do, maybe there would be a lot more inventions than what the world has today. That is if he uses his brain the positive way.

"The human mind is a lot like a parachute. It will only function once it is open."

Well said Newguy. Let's not waste our mind. Please ponder upon the creation.

God is great! Please turn back to God before it's too late. God is forgiving and merciful. He loves us more than our mom.

My friend neplaiguy

I started to read religious books especially from Hinduism during my free time after SLC. During my free time between grade 12 exam and bachelors I read Bible and in between literature related to Buddhism. I also took 3 months sewing lesson during that free time. After my Master I read about Islam and Koran.

I read those books not intending to find which one is right and which one is wrong. I wanted to read them to understand what they say about themselves and others. Surprisingly I found most of them are very similar. I didn't expect them to be exactly the same because those books were written in different era.

And, all of them have mistakes, illogical things and sort of "Either with me or against me".

Also in one basic concept all religion goes directly against science.

Science says we are not created, religion says we are created; I tried to figure out created or not created? Most evidence suggests that we are not created.

I had choice whether to follow blindly or be logical, my sense told me to be  logical.

Following points were considered before making choice

 1. If god, such a powerful entity can exists out of nothing then why not a single cell organism can not exists out of nothing? If someone can make rocket then he must be able to make motorcycle too.

2. Supporters of existences of GoD are asking what was before Big Bang. But at the same time they forgot to ask the similar question to themselves, that is, what was before God?

 3. If God can be the beginning then why can’t Big bang be the beginning? You see possibility of existence of god itself opens the possibility of another.

Either of them could be the beginning, I am open minded If there is evidence I will immediately support the theory of creation, but my friend, till date evidence support otherwise.

 4. Most interesting part for me was supporters of existence of god were saying Science agrees with what religion says (some of the YouTube video are even posted here). But they forget that Science also says the big Bang theory not creation.

It looks to me that in one hand they want to appease scientific community by saying whatever science have found is already mentioned in religious book on the other hand they completely forget that Science has till date mentioned Big Bang theory is the beginning but  religion do not mention  that. May be some day someone will add Big bang theory in religious Bok and claim “Look Big bang theory is already mentioned in religion.

But that is least possible these days It will not be easy for someone to claim as the messenger of god these days.

May be the Idea of BB theory was too complicated to be envisaged for “prophets” of that time, so they took easy path, Saying "God Created Us". The concept of 'God created life already existed before these religion came to exists.

 5. I found out that these religions basically introduced no revolutionary concept except for the cosmetics. So I took them as patenting others idea with cosmetic modification.

This situation is very similar to present day competition. You probably are aware that one American company was trying to patent the word "basmati". India protested in the end they patent "texmati", fist basmati rice grown in US, as they claim.

You can not summaries what was already present and claim to be yours.

 6. I am sorry to say that concept of God, Creation of universe by god, heaven and hell, after life, morality all existed before the Islam.

 7. Just adding that Mohammad is the last messenger does not justify to follow Islam.

Please don’t come to the conclusion that I am going against Islam only. If supporters of other religion come and claim similar I will question them too.

 8. King David and Solomon are also included in the list of prophets in Islam. It seems that Mohammed included all famous historical figures in the list of Prophets. This is very similar to the Maobadi putting the photos of Marx, Angles, Lenin, Mao, Puspalal in their room or during the meeting.

This clearly indicated the how localized was Islam. While Islam claims Allah send prophets to all countries But Mohammad included the Prophets of Middleestern regions only. Looks like Allah had special relation with the ppl from Middle East.

In logic, if two things contradict each other one of them must be wrong, both can not be correct. So in this case either Allah sending prophets to all country is wrong or inclusion of only Middlestern personalities as prophets is wrong. Please let me know which one is wrong.

 9. Name of the father of Muhammad was Abd Allah (also called Abdullah). This proves that word Allah was already in use. And I know Allah is simply the Arabic name for God. So

Arabs used word “Allah” for gods of the religion they were practicing before Islam. Looks like Mohammad borrowed the name of the god from pre existing religion.

Scientists have found Pre Islamic tablets in Saudi Arabia, some of the tablets even dated back to 1000 BC. These tablets mention Allah or Alla as a god worshiped.

This supports the concept that “Allah” has its roots in pagan gods.

Use of word Allah in Pre Islamic Aramaic civilization as a creator also proves that concept of Allah as a creator existed long before Mohammad. Only difference was they were worshiping many gods, Mohammad said one god, the concept of which was already in existence in Hinduism long before Mohammad.

I found Mohammad introduced nothing new. If He was the messenger of God, there was no new message. Mohamed message was just “Old wine in new bottle”.

What Mohammad did was, in pre Islamic society in Arabia Allah was creator but had brothers, daughters, sisters etc. so many deity were worshiped. Mohamed got rid of all deities except Allah. Because of this Islam puts importance on “most powerful one god Allah”.

So, my dear friend what’s new in Islam?

 a. The concept of Allah as God already existed in Arabia

 b. The Prophets from Christianity and Judaism and their teachings already existed during different era.

 c. The concept of shapeless, most powerful god already existed in Hinduism

The only problem in that area was they used to worship many gods (relatives of Allah and some other deity)

So Mohammad used the concept from Hinduism and prohibited the worships of many gods. That is all, where is the new message?

I can tell you where the new message is

The new message is the Allah human relationship. As you told, we were created to pray the god. And I believe this new message is sufficient enough to defame Islam.

Ppl will say If Allah created me, so what, I didn’t ask him to create me. If he created me, it is his problem.

And we need to pray him? This brings the concept of Slave /master relationship.

This Master servant relationship is also not new , This concept already existed in pre Islamic Arabic religion as name of the father of Mohammad Abdullah  (servant of god) suggests.

Actually this slave master relationship existed long before the birth of Islam as indicated by the names such as "Abd Allah" (The Servant/Slave of Allah), "Aush Allah" (The Faith of Allah), "Amat Allah" (The She-Servant of Allah), "Hab Allah" (Beloved of Allah), "Han Allah" (Allah is gracious), "Shalm Allah" (Peace of Allah),  "Wahab Allah" (The Gift of Allah)  by  Nabataean who were the builders of Petra almost 800 years before Mohammad.

Islamization of the area destroyed many pre Islamic artifacts and records unfortunately but scientist are digging and their findings is full of surprises.

My friend, ppl do not like slavery these days, they want to be free, not slave.

In human history many dictators tried political system in their country that forced them to pray their Leader. All those failed.

I heard that in North Korea one has to thank “the Great Leader” for providing food and everything else.

For me all those who have to thank god for their creation and whatever they thought god provided to them are living in “mental communism”. To enjoy the world, first they need to free themselves from this “Mental communism”.

May be ppl in that geographical region were confused by Mohammad’s introduction of Islam so he cleverly tried to calm down the ppl by saying “don’t worry, basic concept is the same, I am just the last messenger.

And maybe he don’t wanted ppl to wonder around different orators seeking god so he added there will be no more prophets after me, I am the last one.

May be he had good intention by saying so. But the idea does not fit in present day norms.

Mohammad married 6 yrs old girl. May be it was ok at that period. But in society where you live you can not marry a 6 yrs old girl, not even in the name of religious freedom. I just wanted to show that moral of the society changes with time.

Forget about the US, not even in Iran you can do that. Society has evolved a lot in last 1400 yrs.

That is why Mohammad saying I am the last messenger may be ok at that time but not at present day.

Because we have seen, nothing last forever and everything evolves. Universe itself is evolving. Position of sun and stars is not the same now as it used to be 1000 yrs before.

Since there is no new message, there can not be new messenger.

And God is just an imaginary friend for people who are afraid of independence and born to serve.

Personally, it doesn’t bother me whatever religion you follow. I posted my comment just because you come here with your belief (influenced by Islam), since it is a public forum I, as a curious person putting forward the points with evidence which contradicts your belief.

Probably a definition of servitude will help

ser·vi·tude

 a. A state of subjection to an owner or master.

b. Lack of personal freedom, as to act as one chooses.

c. Forced labor imposed as a punishment for crime: penal servitude in labor camps

____ bro that was good stuff. Always enjoy reading your responses.

One thing that amazes me or makes me wonder is the numerous types of living organisms and their methods of reproduction and lifestyles. I mean there are some organisms that live off of another organism in a symbiotic relationship. Then there are parasitic organisms which live off other organisms. Sometimes hundreds of generations of parasites can survive off of a single host.

The other thing that is amazing is the formation of new life. If we look at a new human life being created, there were two living humans and no sign of the baby ie the third human but after the 'big bang' the third life gets created out of nowhere.

Putting these two together, sometimes I wonder if the whole Universe is a living organism, which was reproduced by the Universe's mommy and daddy universes after the 'Big Bang'. Then everything else that followed are living off of the universe in a parasiting/symbiotic relationship.

Further comparing our own knowledge of atomic structure with the electrons revolving around the nucleus, could the planets revolving around the sun simply be an atomic structure of the Universe? I mean the vastness of the universe has not be chartered so the possibilities are limitless.

What if the Universe is an organism in itself, and we simply the parasites living off it's existence.

Just a thought!

---: My friend i am enjoying our inter-faith dialogue. I would like to thank you for taking time to engage in this spiritual talk and being very rational. We disagree with eachother does not mean we do not respect eachother's idea.

I would say what Albert Einstein once said: "Science without Religion Is Lame, Religion without Science Is Blind." The reason i agree with this statement is because i believe science and religion can go hand in hand.
During prophet Muhammad (upon whom be peace) people laughed when he said the skies are there without any pillars. Because people of his time believed the mountains were holding the skies. The thing about science changes alot but the scriptures remain the same.

1. If god, such a powerful entity can exists out of nothing then why not a single cell organism can not exists out of nothing? If someone can make rocket then he must be able to make motorcycle too.:
Islam says he is the beginning so i can not say he existed out of nothing.  It's like saying a boy and a girl come out from same mother. One can give birth to child when attained maturity but the other can not. Why? Because that's how God created us. Whole meta-physics, cycle of life and reproduction was created by God. The law of nature is nothing the law created by our Creator.
It can work the otherway on human inventions. For an instance: BMW used to make fighter planes before second world war. After Germans lost on second world war, they started to make cars. It does not work on the law of nature.

2. Supporters of existences of GoD are asking what was before Big Bang. But at the same time they forgot to ask the similar question to themselves, that is, what was before God?
The word "beginning" means "the point in time or space at which something starts". If we say God is the beginning than there is nothing before Him. God exists in timeless eternity. He is the one who created time to begin with. God has no need to have been created, since He exists either outside time (where cause and effect do not operate) or within multiple dimensions of time (such that there is no beginning of God's plane of time). Hence God is eternal, having never been created.

3. If God can be the beginning then why can’t Big bang be the beginning? You see possibility of existence of god itself opens the possibility of another.
It's like saying if my father father was before me, why can't i be before him? God is the one who created big bang to begin with than how can big bang be before Him?

4. Most interesting part for me was supporters of existence of god were saying Science agrees with what religion says (some of the YouTube video are even posted here). But they forget that Science also says the big Bang theory not creation.

Have you ever asked yourself where the universe came from? Why anything at all exists instead of just nothing? Typically atheists have said that the universe is just eternal, and that’s all. But is that a plausible position? If the universe never had a beginning, then that means that the number of past events in the history of the universe is infinite. But mathematicians recognize that the existence of an actually infinite number of things leads to self-contradictions. For example, what is infinity minus infinity? Well, mathematically you get self-contradictory answers. This shows that infinity is just an idea in your mind, not something that exists in reality.

David Hilbert, perhaps the greatest mathematician of this century, states, “The infinite is nowhere to be found in reality. It neither exists in nature, nor provides a legitimate basis for rational thought. ... The role that remains for the infinite to play is solely that of an idea.” But that entails that since past events are not just ideas but are real, the number of past events must be finite. Therefore the series of past events cannot go back forever; rather the universe must have begun to exist.

This conclusion has been confirmed by remarkable discoveries in astronomy and astrophysics. The astrophysical evidence indicates that the universe began to exist in a great explosion called the Big Bang about fifteen billion years ago. Most people do not understand that physical space and time were created in that event, as well as all the matter and energy in the universe. Therefore, as the Cambridge astronomer Fred Hoyle points out, the Big Bang Theory requires the creation of the universe out of nothing. This is because as one goes back in time one reaches a point at which, in Hoyle’s words, the universe was “shrunk down to nothing at all.”

Thus what the Big Bang model requires is that the universe began to exist and was created out of nothing. Now this tends to be very awkward for the atheist. For as Anthony Kenny of Oxford University urges, “A proponent of the [Big Bang] theory, at least if he is an atheist, must believe that ... the universe came from nothing and by nothing.”

But surely that doesn’t make sense. Out of nothing, nothing comes. So why does the universe exist instead of just nothing? Where did it come from? There must have been a cause, which brought the universe into being.

We may summarize our argument thus far as follows:

The universe began to exist.
Whatever begins to exist has a cause.
Therefore the universe has a cause.

Now from the very nature of the case, as the cause of space and time, this cause must be an uncaused, changeless, timeless, and immaterial being of unimaginable power, which created the universe. Moreover, I would argue, it must also be personal. For how else could a timeless cause give rise to a temporal effect like the universe? If the cause where an impersonal set of necessary and sufficient conditions, then the cause could never exist without the effect. Once the sufficient conditions are present, the effect must be present as well. The only way that the cause could be timeless and the effect begin in time is for the cause to be a personal agent who freely chooses to create an effect in time without any prior determining conditions. And thus we are brought not merely to a transcendent cause of the universe but to its Personal Creator.

5. I found out that these religions basically introduced no revolutionary concept except for the cosmetics. So I took them as patenting others idea with cosmetic modification.
If you read the biography of prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) you would know he did not even know he was a prophet till he was 40 years old. If he knew he would not run away from the cave to his home during his first meeting with Archangel Gabriel and told his wife to cover him.

6. I am sorry to say that concept of God, Creation of universe by god, heaven and hell, after life, morality all existed before the Islam.

I did not say that those concept were introduced by prophet Muhammad. I agree those concepts existed before prophet Muhammad's message. I never said prophet Muhammad is the first prophet to mankind. There were 124,000 prophets from God.

7. Just adding that Mohammad is the last messenger does not justify to follow Islam.
Islam does not need justification actually. God already justified His messenger and defended Him.

8. King David and Solomon are also included in the list of prophets in Islam. It seems that Mohammed included all famous historical figures in the list of Prophets. This is very similar to the Maobadi putting the photos of Marx, Angles, Lenin, Mao, Puspalal in their room or during the meeting.

Actually, Qur'an defended prophet Solomon saying he did not practice magic. Nor David killed his army general to marry the army general's wife. I know Jews do not regard king David and king Solomon as a prophet but in Islam we regard them as a righteous king and prophet of God.
Correction, it's not the prophet Muhammad who included him in the lists of prophet. It's God's who favored them with prophecy.

9.  Name of the father of Muhammad was Abd Allah (also called Abdullah). This proves that word Allah was already in use. And I know Allah is simply the Arabic name for God.
People of used to worship Allah along with three hundred-and-sixty idols. The word Allah means God. Prophet Muhmmad told people that they should worship only one God not the idols. That was the difference in his message. It is a known fact that every language has one or more terms that are used in reference to God and sometimes to lesser deities. This is not the case with Allah. Allah is the personal name of the One true God.

Shiva_linga:
In Orthodox Sunni Islam, lying is not allowed not even while you are joking. The only time you can lie is if somebody is goin to kill you because you are Muslim. Just to protect your life.
One of the scholars of Islam was told to say "Qur'an is not from God." He was later asked you could have said ion extreme situations. He told if i would have given such statement than people would have been mislead so i refused to say that.

I was on your shoes long time ago. After studying Islam and other major world religions, i came to understand that Islam is a very practical religion. Where there is no "Sati pratha", nor a priest can ask whatever he wants during puja. The people might be poor but he will ask you have to do "gai daan". In Islam you do not have to pay Zakat unless you are capable of. I accepted Islam when i was in college, i was never told by brothers in the masjid i have to pay Zakat. They used to offer free Biryani on Ramadan and during my college years it was helpful and i was never asked why i have not donated.

This is the beauty of Islam.

"It (Islam) replaced monkiness by manliness. It gives hope to the slave, brotherhood to mankind, and recognition of the fundamental facts of human nature." [Canon Taylor, Paper read before the Church Congress, Oct. 7 1887, quoted by Arnoud in The Preaching of Islam, pp. 71-72]

Taquiyya:
From wiki:
In
Islam taqiyya  is a form of religious dissimulation, or a legal dispensation whereby a believing individual can deny his faith or commit otherwise illegal or blasphemous acts while they are at risk of significant persecution. This practice was emphasized in Shi'a Islam whereby adherents may conceal their religion when they are under threat, persecution, or compulsion. Taqiyya was developed to protect Shi'ites who were usually in minority and under pressure. In the Shi'a view, taqiyya is lawful in situations where there is overwhelming danger of loss of life or property and where no danger to religion would occur thereby. The term taqiyya does not exist in Sunni jurisprudence. In the Sunni view, denying faith under duress is "only at most permitted and not under all circumstances obligatory". However, there are examples of practicing taqiyya among Sunnis where it was necessary.

I hope it answered your question.

shiva linga,

Thanks bro
You too can express similarly, just read more, even the things you don't like. Be analytical and don't let subjective things influence you. Look for the evidence beyond reasonable doubt, for everything even for the things you like and you believe.few practices then you are on.

Thank you too. Yes we can discuss many possibility, many option, many thoughts and in the end the option which has more probability of existing or which has direct evidence will prevail. When I have time i might put my view on your thought.
