Something to ponder upon

My friend neplaiguy

I started to read religious books especially from Hinduism during my free time after SLC. During my free time between grade 12 exam and bachelors I read Bible and in between literature related to Buddhism. I also took 3 months sewing lesson during that free time. After my Master I read about Islam and Koran.

I read those books not intending to find which one is right and which one is wrong. I wanted to read them to understand what they say about themselves and others. Surprisingly I found most of them are very similar. I didn't expect them to be exactly the same because those books were written in different era.

And, all of them have mistakes, illogical things and sort of "Either with me or against me".

Also in one basic concept all religion goes directly against science.

Science says we are not created, religion says we are created; I tried to figure out created or not created? Most evidence suggests that we are not created.

I had choice whether to follow blindly or be logical, my sense told me to be  logical.

Following points were considered before making choice

 1. If god, such a powerful entity can exists out of nothing then why not a single cell organism can not exists out of nothing? If someone can make rocket then he must be able to make motorcycle too.

2. Supporters of existences of GoD are asking what was before Big Bang. But at the same time they forgot to ask the similar question to themselves, that is, what was before God?

 3. If God can be the beginning then why can’t Big bang be the beginning? You see possibility of existence of god itself opens the possibility of another.

Either of them could be the beginning, I am open minded If there is evidence I will immediately support the theory of creation, but my friend, till date evidence support otherwise.

 4. Most interesting part for me was supporters of existence of god were saying Science agrees with what religion says (some of the YouTube video are even posted here). But they forget that Science also says the big Bang theory not creation.

It looks to me that in one hand they want to appease scientific community by saying whatever science have found is already mentioned in religious book on the other hand they completely forget that Science has till date mentioned Big Bang theory is the beginning but  religion do not mention  that. May be some day someone will add Big bang theory in religious Bok and claim “Look Big bang theory is already mentioned in religion.

But that is least possible these days It will not be easy for someone to claim as the messenger of god these days.

May be the Idea of BB theory was too complicated to be envisaged for “prophets” of that time, so they took easy path, Saying "God Created Us". The concept of 'God created life already existed before these religion came to exists.

 5. I found out that these religions basically introduced no revolutionary concept except for the cosmetics. So I took them as patenting others idea with cosmetic modification.

This situation is very similar to present day competition. You probably are aware that one American company was trying to patent the word "basmati". India protested in the end they patent "texmati", fist basmati rice grown in US, as they claim.

You can not summaries what was already present and claim to be yours.

 6. I am sorry to say that concept of God, Creation of universe by god, heaven and hell, after life, morality all existed before the Islam.

 7. Just adding that Mohammad is the last messenger does not justify to follow Islam.

Please don’t come to the conclusion that I am going against Islam only. If supporters of other religion come and claim similar I will question them too.

 8. King David and Solomon are also included in the list of prophets in Islam. It seems that Mohammed included all famous historical figures in the list of Prophets. This is very similar to the Maobadi putting the photos of Marx, Angles, Lenin, Mao, Puspalal in their room or during the meeting.

This clearly indicated the how localized was Islam. While Islam claims Allah send prophets to all countries But Mohammad included the Prophets of Middleestern regions only. Looks like Allah had special relation with the ppl from Middle East.

In logic, if two things contradict each other one of them must be wrong, both can not be correct. So in this case either Allah sending prophets to all country is wrong or inclusion of only Middlestern personalities as prophets is wrong. Please let me know which one is wrong.

 9. Name of the father of Muhammad was Abd Allah (also called Abdullah). This proves that word Allah was already in use. And I know Allah is simply the Arabic name for God. So

Arabs used word “Allah” for gods of the religion they were practicing before Islam. Looks like Mohammad borrowed the name of the god from pre existing religion.

Scientists have found Pre Islamic tablets in Saudi Arabia, some of the tablets even dated back to 1000 BC. These tablets mention Allah or Alla as a god worshiped.

This supports the concept that “Allah” has its roots in pagan gods.

Use of word Allah in Pre Islamic Aramaic civilization as a creator also proves that concept of Allah as a creator existed long before Mohammad. Only difference was they were worshiping many gods, Mohammad said one god, the concept of which was already in existence in Hinduism long before Mohammad.

I found Mohammad introduced nothing new. If He was the messenger of God, there was no new message. Mohamed message was just “Old wine in new bottle”.

What Mohammad did was, in pre Islamic society in Arabia Allah was creator but had brothers, daughters, sisters etc. so many deity were worshiped. Mohamed got rid of all deities except Allah. Because of this Islam puts importance on “most powerful one god Allah”.

So, my dear friend what’s new in Islam?

 a. The concept of Allah as God already existed in Arabia

 b. The Prophets from Christianity and Judaism and their teachings already existed during different era.

 c. The concept of shapeless, most powerful god already existed in Hinduism

The only problem in that area was they used to worship many gods (relatives of Allah and some other deity)

So Mohammad used the concept from Hinduism and prohibited the worships of many gods. That is all, where is the new message?

I can tell you where the new message is

The new message is the Allah human relationship. As you told, we were created to pray the god. And I believe this new message is sufficient enough to defame Islam.

Ppl will say If Allah created me, so what, I didn’t ask him to create me. If he created me, it is his problem.

And we need to pray him? This brings the concept of Slave /master relationship.

This Master servant relationship is also not new , This concept already existed in pre Islamic Arabic religion as name of the father of Mohammad Abdullah  (servant of god) suggests.

Actually this slave master relationship existed long before the birth of Islam as indicated by the names such as "Abd Allah" (The Servant/Slave of Allah), "Aush Allah" (The Faith of Allah), "Amat Allah" (The She-Servant of Allah), "Hab Allah" (Beloved of Allah), "Han Allah" (Allah is gracious), "Shalm Allah" (Peace of Allah),  "Wahab Allah" (The Gift of Allah)  by  Nabataean who were the builders of Petra almost 800 years before Mohammad.

Islamization of the area destroyed many pre Islamic artifacts and records unfortunately but scientist are digging and their findings is full of surprises.

My friend, ppl do not like slavery these days, they want to be free, not slave.

In human history many dictators tried political system in their country that forced them to pray their Leader. All those failed.

I heard that in North Korea one has to thank “the Great Leader” for providing food and everything else.

For me all those who have to thank god for their creation and whatever they thought god provided to them are living in “mental communism”. To enjoy the world, first they need to free themselves from this “Mental communism”.

May be ppl in that geographical region were confused by Mohammad’s introduction of Islam so he cleverly tried to calm down the ppl by saying “don’t worry, basic concept is the same, I am just the last messenger.

And maybe he don’t wanted ppl to wonder around different orators seeking god so he added there will be no more prophets after me, I am the last one.

May be he had good intention by saying so. But the idea does not fit in present day norms.

Mohammad married 6 yrs old girl. May be it was ok at that period. But in society where you live you can not marry a 6 yrs old girl, not even in the name of religious freedom. I just wanted to show that moral of the society changes with time.

Forget about the US, not even in Iran you can do that. Society has evolved a lot in last 1400 yrs.

That is why Mohammad saying I am the last messenger may be ok at that time but not at present day.

Because we have seen, nothing last forever and everything evolves. Universe itself is evolving. Position of sun and stars is not the same now as it used to be 1000 yrs before.

Since there is no new message, there can not be new messenger.

And God is just an imaginary friend for people who are afraid of independence and born to serve.

Personally, it doesn’t bother me whatever religion you follow. I posted my comment just because you come here with your belief (influenced by Islam), since it is a public forum I, as a curious person putting forward the points with evidence which contradicts your belief.

Probably a definition of servitude will help

ser·vi·tude

 a. A state of subjection to an owner or master.

b. Lack of personal freedom, as to act as one chooses.

c. Forced labor imposed as a punishment for crime: penal servitude in labor camps
