i just love the unique casual narration in your every piece.  you mould  a common tale with an absolute realism without a tinge of “fairytaleness”. after every statement there is a counter statement embedded in it, rendering the readers with intellectual service of the writer’s double vision. that's the charm of reading sajha_gazer. kudos!

Nice!!! very realistic, something tangible, unfolds right in front of your eyes. You should write a few of these and try to get published. Best of luck to you!!

Sajha_Gazer, great flow  of the words, enjoying a lot so far. From Kathmandu to Delhi and Chicago to Bangladesh, Minnesota ta R K Puram. just going FANTASTIC.

waiting eagerly for Ashim's turn.

For the next one hour, Ramesh gave Uday a crash course on America.

hahahha, exactly!! Nepali people love to give a crash course, esp to new comers. I  was given 5 crash courses by 5 different people. Guess what, these days Im doing the same.

Comparison between Dipti and Dilmaya is was really touching.

Gazer, I left this piece for another day.  Waiting to read till you'd finished it, but seeing all the positive comments here, just made me bite the bullet.  And damn, it was awesome!  You, Galt, sum_off and a few others make reading your stories so easy to go along with, and the way you get me so engrossed into it until I've finished the entire article (not even picking up my phone as it rings) just leaves me to believe that you'd do great if all your works were taken mainstream someday.  Ever since Miss Sajha, I've been hooked!

hahahah and this excerpt cracked me up...I always thought the opposite happened bro.  Girls, IMHO like the reverse psychology crap: "She did not fully know what she wanted but she had a clear idea of what she did not want. She did not want those boys who got drunk and fought in Nepali  parties. She did not want show-offs who could not stop boasting about themselves or their families. She disliked those who spoke loudly and put others down. She wanted someone who would respect her and treat her as an equal."  LMAO

And bro, this was my math teacher in school I kid you not...The details are astoundingly similar: "Besides, it did not help that the Nepali teacher was the worst-dressed and most unrepresentable of all the teachers. He had hair creeping out of his nose and growing on his ear lobes".  hhahahahahahaha

Once again, thanx for the wonderful read...Waiting for the remainder of Part 3 (and Part 4 if any).

well, i can not comment on such a nicely written story as i can never imagine to write such a nice story.  very well written, thoroughlly enjoyed and eagerly waiting for remaining parts.  I also like the characters in this story.  they all  are positive and doing well, which is really good.

Gazer,
I am familiar with those characters. You are so honest with the characters that their depiction is so down to the earth. However, your perception, keen observation and beautiful rendering of words has made this piece a  colorful and interesting read.  I like your way of building up the story introducing the characters inside out before bringing them into the checkerboard. This preface promises an interesting drama to follow.

PS. Your memoir was good. I liked it.
