A man is walking down a road and he comes to a fork in the road. There are 2 ways to go.
One road will lead to safety and the other road will lead to death. Now there are 2 guards
waiting there. One of them is a truth teller, the other is a liar. The man cant tell which
is which. But he gets to ask one question to find the door to safety.

Which question is that?

haha @ lincoln bro, yeah but a riddle is a riddle right brother? :)

But why 0?. The correct answer is 1 (that female mice you bought). Mice can live upto few years.

Anyways here is another one :)

1)Two mothers and two daughters went to a shop to buy a handbag. They were in a good mood to spend. So they each bought a handbag. But the total number of handbags bought were 3. How come?.

2)The man who makes it doesnt need it. The man who buys it doesnt use it. The man who uses it is not aware he is using it. What is it?

Well done Lincoln bro!.

Here is the last one for the night.

A woman shoots her husband. Holds him underwater for 5 minutes. And finally hangs him. Then the husband says "Well done!."
How is this possible?.

She is a photographer. But really, you wouldn't say "holds him underwater," more like holds IT underwater.

Here's one:

Inside a dark room, there's a table with 50 coins. 9 of the coins have HEADS facing top and rest (41) have TAILS. Your task is to separate the coins into two groups, each group with equal number of heads. You can't see the coins (it's dark) and can feel them but you can't tell if it's head or tail just by the touch.

A monk has a very specific ritual for climbing up the steps to the temple. First he climbs up to the middle step and meditates for 1 minute. Then he climbs up 8 steps and faces east until he hears a bird singing. Then he walks down 12 steps and picks up a pebble. He takes one step up and tosses the pebble over his left shoulder. Now, he walks up the remaining steps three at a time which only takes him 9 paces. How many steps are there?

@funtush
You're right; but that was a mistake of wordings not intent. When you say you want Heads or Tails, you don't need to say facing up or down..hence I went along with common terminology.

Fine, let's just say I said heads facing up:

Inside a dark room, there's a table with 50 coins. 9 of the coins have HEADS facing top and rest (41) have TAILS. Your task is to separate the coins into two groups, each group with equal number of heads (facing up).  @Freedom, 28 is wrong....sorry....

could you explain your which day he tell the truth riddle. :)

Here it is:

He tells the truth on Tuesdays. Take them one at a time and assume he is telling the truth on each of the three days that he makes a statement. Then assume he is not telling the truth on any of the days that he makes a statement. The only case that works is the one where he is telling the truth on the third day. On that third day, from the statements he made, he lies on Wednesdays and Fridays. He tells the truth on Mondays and Tuesdays. Yesterday was not Thursday, Saturday or Sunday. That means that he couldn't be telling the truth Monday because yesterday can't be Sunday and therefore, he must tell the truth on Tuesdays.

bshal, it's more of an algebraic problem than a riddle. My equation:
X/2 + 8 - 12 + 1 = (9*3)=27
X=60
Thus there are 60 steps.

I had the wrong equation, it IS 48:

(X/2)+8-12+1=X-27 (27=9*3, number of steps left).
X=48

 @freedom, 49 steps, indeed...

Another

Your last good ping-pong ball fell down into a narrow metal pipe imbedded in concrete one foot deep.

How can you get it out undamaged, if all the tools you have are your tennis paddle, your shoe-laces, and your plastic water bottle, which does not fit into the pipe?

@ bshal,

fill it with water from the plastic bottle, and it will float on top.

Wouldn't it be more fun if you change the question slightly so that we can't copy/paste them in google and find the answer?
I knew paddle and lace were distraction and thought the bottle was empty as nothing was said about it. So I was going to suggest squeezing the bottle real hard and then covering the lip of the pipe with bottle's top (since it doesn't fit, it won't go in) then release the bottle slightly so that a suction is created. This will then suck the ball up, whoala.

Then, I copy pasted the question and found the answer.
