The one who always thought he qualified to walk the fashion ramps in college programs. The one who thought of himself as smarter, popular, and better "swaggin" than others. He managed to get the $10 clerk job while in school cos he knew how to say " wassup" better. Those "wassup" gangs are still doing the $10/hr job at age 35 and over.

Very rarely i have also seen nerds with ZERO communication and people skill also not find jobs.

Know what you want. Know what the purpose of the step you take and go from there. Consulting for stepping stone is fine. Or moving back home and doing something there is also fine.

I completely agree on what you said and going home is another option which is fine but in professional work they mostly care about how much knowledge you have or what we call EXPERTISE. Expert factor brings in personality, confidence and ability to speak but in real work job environment if you have personality and confidence and public speaking ability but dont know what you talking about in a technical way thats a problem.
I havent had much exposure to lots of colleagues of mine but there are few who doesnt really communicate well but have been in their position without getting fired.

If you get full scholarship then do study anywhere in the world where you get that money from. Investing your own money in dark in competitive world without calculating risk and reward will not lead you in better future. World is getting smaller, Internet is everywhere, education are getting cheaper. Education is investment now. So think twice before you put your money in action. Think how can you maximize your investment. Bill Gate is not college graduate yet he is richest person of the world, I don;t mean to say that you don't study. Study hard, study so hard that you buy money (i mean get scholarship) instead of money buying education. ( I hope what I mean to say you). Best of luck.
