Who do you think first to punish?

Corrupt Politicians or Looter Businessman..

Chandi Raj Dhakal alone has a loan of Rs 450 million in Bangladesh Bank...if you add his unpaid loans to all the banks in Nepal, those money will be sufficient for couple of district's year budget..
If you add unpaid loan of all top class businessmen in Nepal, you come up with 6 month's budget of whole Country

Isn't it time to punish those crooks businessmen?

Note: I am not justifying corruption of Politician,,People will punish them...

Who should punish them, the public who could barely do anything or the corrupt politician themselves? No one can stop this because the corruption is so rooted in our society it will take lot more then just few people wanting it to end.

Also which people would punish them, the same youths who sell their property, among other things to leave the country as a cheap source of labor, and also pay the money to the corruption official so they can get out of the country. I think not.

They got into contract with each one of the financial instutions so let them worry about it.... hami tauko kina dukhaoone!!! I am sure the Banks can probably write it off as BAD DEBT EXPENSE ... how do you know that some of these banks aren't part of these unearthly loans to these uncouth business men!! LET THEM DEAL WITH EACH OTHER ... We general public has enough problems to dela with without interfering in the PRIVATE business transactions between two or more privately owned enterprises!!

Yep!!

BathroomCoffee ,I thougt for a while if I was raising personal issue here...but could not agree upon your logic ...Please let me understand why do you think this issue as personal...Please try to answers the following questions:

1) If somebody takes money from bank in Nepal with no intention to pay and misuse that money,Is that the issue of banker and so called industrialist only?(How about devaluation of shares of public because of those worst loan)
2) Don't you think that bank's bad loan has any effect in people's deposit?

Those money are people's money...

Just my personal opinon but I think we gotta deal with corruption first. Right now the Govt officials all have, what I like to call, an altered Nepali Buddhi, which basically you can see in your own samaj, one of greed and jealously. For ex: if phalana ko chora gets a good job, the samaj, instead of being happy for him, wishes to see him fail and be devastated cuz they dont have that privilege. They say good things in ure face but deep down inside you know it they hate you. WTF is the purpose of such a samaj? Govt officials' corruption lies in this very basic samajhic trait. They dont want anyone else be better off than them so theres a "khutta pulling" competetion going on. Why so much mistrust? cuz one govt official knows for sure that the other one will definitely not do what he has been preaching.
As for the bizness and politics affair, it has always been like that in every democracy. Democracy is just a cover for elite biznessmen to bend the laws in their favor. in this way, communism sounds like utopia for village people.
The way I see it, we need a despotic dictator who will work towards the benefit of the nation. But who to trust. Def not gp. Someone so noble to the cause of upliftment that he be willing and able to punish those destroying it. We need a savior. A true leader.

Bank of Bangla is Nepali people's money ? Hmmm... did not know that.
If it was Nepal Rastra Bank(nepli govt's treasury) then its one thing. But if its against someone like INDO-SUEZ, Barkleys etc etc then its between the Bank and the Individual. And if he forfeits in the loan then whatever he put in colateral will be gone. But if nothing happened then its the Banks problem to retrieve the money not ours.

I agree, Banks wont just give any Shyam, Anup or Hamal ji loans for 450 mil. They need to show their credit-worthiness, in case of not being able to pay back, as Coffee says, lose their Collateral. But if some dickhead corrupted SOB high in the office permitted the loan to another corrupted bitch, both should be shot dead in Basantapur and made examples of.
