Is your asylum case pending in office or immigration court? Has asylum officer or IJ denied your case? If your asylum case is in immigration court and you are given notice to appear (or you have a hearing date in future), you will first need to administratively close the case before you can travel.

There are two ways you can travel:

1. Pending asylum: You can only apply under humanitarian grounds like family emergency; someone in family is seriously ill or passed away.

2. TPS: If you have been granted TPS; apply for travel document called advance parole. You can purely travel for vacation with TPS; no need to have any emergency to travel.
