proud bro, here's the fact, let me know where i am wrong. If you want to discuss please write something that is fact not what you think of a player or management. As OF D. ORtiz and not playing 1st base - Ortiz is a good DH, PERIOD. If he was a good 1st base, I am sure he would have played that position and Manny would have moved to DH position. would you PLEASE check out who is your regular baseman??? You will be surprised it's not Meinkewitz (sp???). Bro, you are delusion, Ortiz would have barely cut top 5, forget about being the #1. He was resigned by Red Sox during the 04 season. Would you please check out the money he got from Red Sox when he signed 3 year extension earlier this year??? Then may be we can have more discussion about him :=) I am sure you would have said the same thing about Nomar and he barely made it to #10 on espn.com list. Let?s not get it wrong about Nomar, I like that dude. He gave 110% every time he was on the field. He would have monster year next year whoever he is with. I won?t mind going to few Dodgers game if he were to sign with Dodgers. BELTRAN, THE FIVE TOOL PLAYER, is the jewel of this free agency. AROD and Red Sox: the only reason Red ox didn't have him was Red sox couldn't come up with extra $6 millions. If Red Sox had offered that money Players Union didn't have to intervene. I am REPEATING again Yankees got AROD in lesser value than Red Sox offered to Mr Hicks in Texas. WHO IS TO BLAME??? As of Manny and the REd SOX: I hope he stays and finishes his career in Boston. He has won you a championship; I hope you will treat him better. But we all know Red Sox management. We all know how Clemens, Mo Vaughn and Nomar got treated by Red Sox management. I won't be surprised Manny's name again in waivers list. He can be traded for a player like Sosa, but you have to chew up 6-8 millions of Manny's contract. As of Mr. John Henry ... bro would you check if it was mr henry or the President??? I think it's latter. And can you name me a star player beside Vertiek, who came from your farm systems??? Bro, be honest with me this time. Do you just write whatever comes to your mind or check the facts before jot here??? JETER , Bernie, Posada, Mariano duhhh!!! All those great players came from Yankees Farm system. I am glad you getting to know more about Yankees :=) But I know what you do with your farm system star players, you like to ship them: Nomar, Clemens, Mo Vaughn, Wade Boggs to name a few As of THEO EPSTEIN and the Management.... he has done a great job this year. We will get to see his true front office skills this year. You calling him a great GM after winning, with just ONE championship? What would you call to Brian Cashman??? GOD??? Since he joined the ballclub here's what the Yankees have done: - won AL EAST division every year (1998-2004) - won 5 American League Championship Series (1998-2001, 2003) - Won 3 World Series (three peat 1998-2000) Theo seems to be a bright kid (ain?t he 30 ???) I will judge him after the 05 season, and you should do the same :=)
