There has been major arguments for and against ethnic separation of Nepal. The main reason for ethnic separation is cited as allowing underpriviledged ethnic groups to have a common ground in which to jump start their growth.

One of the major problem with that philosophy is that not everyone from the same ethnic group are underpriviledged. There is bound to be misunderstandings and dissatisfactions among people of same ethnicity who have different income levels and property levels.

So instead of ethnicity based separation, income level and property based separation would be more helpful.
