While I agree, being myself an adhibasi of KTM, that there are plenty of faces who appears like imported GUNDAS but again, this so called newar morcha is responsible and we can not deny the involvement of newars in that morcha? can we? As a matter of fact, newars were the one who despite enjoying all the facilities and despite their economical status were way above than any others, they kept on raising issues of " jati, bhasa, rajya" etc right from the panchayat era. Personally I do not think Newars were ever discriminated (rather they did to the others calling everyone else marsya or pakhe). At this stage, while everyone is asking for their own interest, newars also doing the same. And it is true to the larger extent that it is only after 1990, newars culutre and heritage subjected adverse environment and with the downfall of the kings, maoists went to extreme to hurt their culture and heritage and irony is now maoists are advocating for them to score political points.
