One day after the Supreme Court issued a show cause notice to six maoist leaders for undermining the judiciary by giving expressions against the court, senior leader of the Unified CPN (Maoist) and Finance minister Dr Babu Ram Bhattarai has accused the justices of acting in a ‘Panchayati Style.’

Addressing a mass assembly in Palungtar, Gorkha Saturday afternoon, Bhattarai said the justices who had issued show cause notice (against him) for saying the judiciary should be democratised are working like justices of the Panchayat era.

He challenged the justices who issued such notice, to jail them if they can. FM Bhattarai also accused the court of obstructing in formation of Commission on the Disappeared.
