Try to utilize full term of your OPT as not only will it help you financially and keep you in status, you'll get enough time to make your future plans as well.

Contact your International Student Advisor/DSO for required information and forms. They will issue you a new OPT  I-20 which you need to include with your application. You need to apply for OPT before you graduate, sooner the better so that your EAD card arrives before your employment start date.

You can look for your new school during OPT and get transfered anytime before your OPT expires.
