Hey metanil, If I were you, I wouldn't go for it. Still, you can take it to the mechanic, spend some 70 bucks to have a thorough checkup and ask mechanic's opinion. I had been in similar situation. The car looked good physically and carfax report was immaculate. The person was asking 4700 dollars. Still I took it to a mechanic, and you know what, he said, "I wouldn't pay 500 bucks for the car".
