The hills have hampered the development to some extend as they make it difficult to make roads but the political conflicts are also a reason for it. Our hopes of progress were shattered by the rise of armed conflict by Maoists but we should all understand that it takes time. If people don't know about Nepal, they generally ask where is it and then the answer will be near Indian in most cases or between India and China. So, if we use your logic in this response, then we would have to say India Sucks!!! and China Sucks!!! instead of Mt. Everest Sucks!!!. 4. I don't see a problem with the fact that we are from the birthplace of Buddha, or close to it(if you want to focus on the fact that the present Nepal didn't exist then).
