During the Central Working Committee meeting held on Wednesday, some members sought clarification from the party leadership on who took the decision about the names of ministers. "It is ridiculous for a democratic party that we were informed about the names of the ministers through radio," CWC member Arjun Narsingh KC is reported to have told the meeting. "If we have to take collective responsibility of the government should there be institutional decision of the party or not?" According to party sources, some members demanded immediate relinquishment of one of the two positions held by the ministers. Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala appointed Arjun Narsingh KC as the party's new spokesperson on Wednesday but KC immediately rejected the post. According to party sources, KC expressed his unwillingness to hold the post to Vice-president Sushil Koirala who informed KC about the party President's decision to appoint him as party spokesperson. The student wing of the party, however, withdrew all disciplinary action against its members in a move to push forward Nepal Students Union activities effectively.
