Even during raging Iraq war, media was not blacked out. Instead Americans proposed a very new idea of "embeded reporters" which in most cases brought live televison coverage right from the front line that gave viewers exactly how well the war is progressing and Americans were less intent in random distruction ( they did random destruction in Vietman 25 years ago). Therefore in the end it benifited the Americans by limiting the damage to the image of American soldiers' by being able to moniter their conduct during action in battlefield at least to some extent. In Nepal it's axactly the opposite. Even the limited coverage has now been totally brought to a halt. How should we know the conduct of armed forces while implementing military rule ?
