King Gyanendra, most of us know, had been put on the throne when he was a kid during the last moments of Ranas. King Tribhuwan had fled with his family to India and the Rana installed Gyanendra as the nearest available successor to the throne. Although he was a kid, he had been crowned as a King already in the History of Nepal. Unfortunately or fortunately for him, 104 years of the autrocratic regime of Ranas had to go and Gyanendra's short reign as a Royal successor ended with the dawn of a new era, if some Sajhaittes do not think it was the dawn of the democracy. Because, he was not born as the eldest son, Gyanendra's role during the time Mahendra or Birendra has been overshadowed. I do not know lots of things about his past but let me put you what I know. I will try to be as unbiased as I can in the upcoming thread in which I will be giving some accounts of Gyanendra's role from the BS 2010s to 2046.
