अबिकसित देशहरुबाट मात्रै नभै बिकसित देशहरुबाट पनि दक्ष जनशक्ति बिकसित मुलुक-अंेरिका पलाएन एक समस्या बन्दै आएको छ। सोझै भनौन ब्रेन ड्रेन को समस्या के। नेपाल पनि यसबाट अछुतो रहने कुरै भएन। जति नेपाली अंेरिकाम छन-खासगरी पढदै गरेका-के पढाई पछि नेपाल फर्कन्छन त?

अौनुस साझाबासि छलफल गरौ। फेरि झगडा गर्ने होइन नि।

आफुलाई लागेका कुरा बाडौ। किन नेपाल फर्कने? अथवा किन नफर्कने?

मै बाट सुरु गरौ है त।

किन नफर्कने?

१) पढाई अनुसारको जागिर पाईदैन।

२) जागिर भेट्टिहाले पनि तलब थोरै छ।

३) सुबिधाहरु अंेरिका जस्तो कहा छ र?

४) राजनिति नै ठिक छैन-कसरि बाच्न सकिन्छ तेस्तो ठाउमा?

५) छोरा छोरिको भबिस्यको लागि।

६) नेपाल त मलाई मनै पर्दैन।

७) अब अंेरिकामा बस्ने बानि परिसक्यो मलाई त एतै बस्न राम्रो लग्यो।
८) ह्या अंेरिकाम एस्तो मजाले जमेर बसिरा बेलामा कहा नेपाल फर्केर काम गर्ने कुरा गरिरा भन्या।

म त फर्किन्छु किनभने?

१) मलाई मेरो देश प्यारो लाग्छ।

२) आफुले सिकेको सिप मात्रीभुमीको सेवाको लागी लगाउन।

३) यो अंेरिका त मनै परेन।

४) आफ्नो गाउ-ठाउ, साथी भाई, परिवार, छर-छिमेक बिना बस्न सक्दिन।

५) अंेरिकामा बसे भने कता हराउछु कता। कम्तिमा नेपाल गए भने त "लाटा देशको गांडा तन्नेरी" हुन पाउछु नि।

It's essentially a personal choice and no one else's bizwax. 

Fact is that there is no right or wrong, either way.

There are some who have stayed in the US and feel superior.  Well, if that makes it easier for them to digest McDonald's Quarterpounder Cheeseburger, so be it.

And there are some who put on equally pompous air of self-sacrifice or moral superiority or even equally prepostorous stance, "the ripples I create will be stronger farther I go from my alma mater."  Yeah, whatever!  To those, and particulary the ones who harp that third note again and again to whoever would listen, I would just restate the obvious as the poster above did, "laato ko desh-ma gaado tanneri."  But still, it is his/her/their choice.

Those who know, know. 

Even if there will be no comfortable living; even if somebody will be pulling legs; even if there will be bomb explosion every day; even if somebody will blame me saying that I have done something wrong in the foreign land; even if my friends back in western countries will be saying that '.......' is trying to be overly smart and patriotic; even if I will be visiting government for nearly a month to complete even a small task; even if the electricity cuts down 6 hrs a day; even if my salary will be very less compared to here; even if I ll have to struggle to get job competing with the relatives and friends of employer, politicians; even if I have to face the environmental pollution; even if I have to line in a kilometre long queue to get a litre of petrol; even if I have to pass through the heap of garbage; and even if there will be several other hurdles . I ll be returning back to my country as soon as my studies are complete.

Coz I believe that I ll have more satisfied life; I ll be contributing for the development of my country though it will be very finite;  I ll have family n friends who will be cheering me up when I ll be feeling down n out; I ll help other people improve their lives again it might be negligible;  I ll be able to see happiness in my parents face who have made me who I am now; I ll still have friends like pops who will be willing to drive the country for a positive change in the country and lastly I ll be proud that I have done something for my parents and country.

All are scared with the present situation of Nepal. Kidnapping, no gas, no electricity, robbery, bomb blasting etc.
Lets say what happens to your thought after the political situation is setteled down within 2 years.

For the situation to come back to normal like say 15 yrs ago, the King has to come to power and put Prachanda&Co. in jail and hang thne subsequently. Since Girija will be disabled/diceased by natural causes, not need to do anything to him. Sher and Madhav and the like should be either let to rot in jail or sent to Congo to fight war and disease there. Sujata and the like can be made the leaders provided they become moral-otherwise put them in jail and we from USA can go to our country to fight the elections.

You suggest me.. I have some scenarios below:...

Scenario 1.
   Place: Kathmandu,  Nepal.
   Date: 2003 Feb 16
   Story: Engineers wanted, Nepal Telecom, Forms submitted with exam fee NRs. 250. Scheduled exam date: 2003 July 3 (yeah, almost five months to wait).. Next- Interview scheduled after 2 months.. but that never happened.. No-one knows when and if it will ever happens even after 17 months later..

Scenario 2.
   Place: An  apartment room, Midwest, USA
   Date: 2005 April 3
   Story: Clothes scattered around, empty coke- cans all over, mobile rings.. Someone speaks at other end- 'Are you available for interview at 2 pm cst' (i.e. after 1 hour).. At 2:03 pm phone rings again, interview for 45 mins.. Next day a mail in yahoo - 'Hi Congratulation, they considered you for the position, can you please join from coming Monday?' Surprise as no bhansun, no sifarish...he is still surprised after 2 years...

Scenario 2:
  Place: Keshar Mahal, Ministry of Education, Kathmandu,  Nepal.
   Date: 1998 August 3
  Story: A student,  his PCM aggregates above 86% from a govt.college (out of valley) , confidently waiting for scholarship-result-list to be announced,... finds his name in 2nd waiting list for the 4th consecutive time.

Scenario 4:
  Place: 6th floor, Fortune 500 company, USA.
   Date: 2005 Nov 19
  Story: A guy in his cubicle, papers, computers, phones, stress, water bottle,.. His boss was saying - ' Hi Mr *****, do you have two more friends like you, we need immediately' ....

Nepal is good for rich people who can suck poor peoples money and enjoy their life. thaag gaffadi dui numbary garna janne lai Nepal thik chha.. thakuri haaru jasko sampatti tanna chha j paani garna sakchhan tinihaarulai thik chha..

Haami jastalai yatai thik chha yaar.. malai ta mero desh bikash garnu chhaina.. yatai aaramko jindagi bitauna chahanchhu ma ta..

sabai ko kura afno thau ma thik cha... tara yaha america ma man ko shanti bhane chaina.. even if you get a very good job... you dont feel the same kind of happiness you get in family gatherings in Nepal..

student haru ma pani gaja ra raksi harek din khanu parne harulai ta baalai cha.. tara jasle family ko importance alikati pani bujheko cha, tyo manchelai garho cha yo thau ma basna..

tara nepal farkera pani sadhai bhari ama bau ko paisa ma bachne kura pani chaina....

why not try for a job in close-by asian countries? dashain tihar ma ghar pani jana paincha.... ani yaha jasto tadha pani hudaina...job haru america ma matrai paune pani hoina hola ni... of course ramrari padera kei garna sakyo bhane ta we can give it a shot in any one of neighbouring asian countries.
