Constituent Assembly (CA) member Bishendra Paswan has returned the allowances he received for two years, as he had announced earlier, citing the failure of the CA to issue the new constitution by May 28.
Paswan, who heads the Dalit Janajati Party, returned a purse of 120,700 rupees to the parliament secretariat today through bank draft.
Speaking to reporters, Paswan, the sole CA member from his party, said it was unethical for him to enjoy the allowances and also urged other CA members to return the allowances for their collective failure to promulgate the constitution within the prescribed time. nepalnews.com
