I am reading this forbes online now, and I cannot believe my eyes. How many of you remember that saying- hindi version- padogay, likhogay banogay Nawaab, khelogay, kudogay ta banogay Kharaab (pardon my Hindi).

Top 5 richest people in the United States of America are all College/university drop out including the top of the toppest Mr. Gates. Well, many are Ivy Leage drop outs. I am sure Ivy League dropouts are considered smarter than Summa Cum Laude graduate from some liberal arts college and university.

What you guys think about this correlation? I am going to call my friend, right now, who is attending an Ivy Leage to drop out and lets try his fortune as those billionaires.

WOW!! I was just yesterday talking about those successful people who never finished their college or high school. I am amazed to see this in sajha today. Just amazing !!!!!!!

The biggest reasons for Gates being so well known have to do (in reverse order of relevance) just how rich he is, how prevalent his company's products are, and how much he pushes himself into the limelight whenever possible. Of course, it also helps that he is the poster boy for the exploding importance of information technology in the modern world (both corporate and home) and the "computer nerds" behind this phenomenon. After all, look how "computer geeks" were portrayed in Revenge of the Nerds (1984) compared to now in popular media.

He's often talked about as "the guy who dropped out of uni, started a business in his garage and made himself a billionaire and head of one of the best known companies ever". Who wouldn't want to follow that?

How much less interesting does....."He worked hard, went to uni and studied business, joined Flibble Industries in 1907 as a teaboy. Through years of buttkissing and corporate politics he slid into management like a large hand in a one-size-fits-all glove. After spending 40 years in middle management, Mr Nakamura saved the company ?73 in the failed carpet-fired oven debacle and was elected CEO for life, where he disappeared behind a force-field of paperwork".

Which would you rather hear/talk about?

That made me remember (I forced myself to remember) going to Nepali gatherings and
talking to bunch of Phd holders and soon to be Phd holders listening to their narrow-minded talks and come outside to puke (Swear it was not hangover). Sounds like out of the context but the higher level of education doesn't really make you smarter. You can still be same ol' moron you were back in the days, in your highschool. What's in your system can't be changed.

Oversmart people go down with the force and take you and everyone with them. History 101.

Those who dropped out had the courage to do so because they knew they could make it happen. And they did.

Others are, well.......... no matter where they study........

my philosphy..do whatever you are doing don't stop..you never know when an idea strucks you..then everything else will fall into place..

yep its the risk takers that make the make their name into history or hell the rest are stories plain ole Jane
