Preaching is not acceptable. If somebody quenches for thirst n finds a water for himself thats cool but forcing people to drink the water u got is fishy, that water may contain any sorta thang poison etc. i was hindu + buddhists then became christian n now agnostic, no religious person.  Let people learn by themselves, padera bhanda parera janincha. 90% nepali don't know how to analyse stuff. We tend to believe in religious values that our parents passed on. But i got out of that pandora n felt free to explore. Read everything Quran, Bible, Veda n decide which one is appealing. Have some firsthand experiences with religion. Ask yourself questions about religions n see if u can find answers. These preachers r just brainwashing people, i was brainwashed too but i chose not to be religious person. For me we r god if we do good to others including plants n insects etc n we r demon if we hurt any living beings. We r not even suppose to ride a horse, eat meat etc.Do u want others to ride on you? Do u want others to cut you n cook? Nah rt? My first question was we r human n if cut same blood. Second question was all nales have penis n all females vagina. But how come we have so many different gods, allah, jesus n then so many hindu gods. If we were made by god then why we have this religious wars. For me i think cult sooner or later turned into religion or in other words mass cult is a religion whereas small faith with few folks is considered a cult. Just my thoughts. I might be stupid.

What ever they are doing is completely disrespectful.  If they think they are religious and righteous people, they wouldn't go to a religious site of other people and spit their crap. Why do they need to expand their user base? They treat religious followers like customers. They want most customers, so that more customers spend their money and influence on them.

Other religious business entities like Hinduism and Islam should learn from their competitor and set up similar margeting strategy otherwise their business will go down.

I think you answered your question yourself Rethink. Part of it is in the doctrine they follow. Another part has to do with religion being the administrative power back in those days. Churches had the authority to collect taxes, and how do you increase your revenue? By increasing your member base.

Contrary to this, Hinduism has been a secluded religion where only people born within the religion normally practice the religion. I am not even sure if there is a formal method to convert one self to hinduism, like christening somebody or converting to Judaism etc.

we are so happy so see gore convert to hinduism we say wawa. And we brag about our religion and we go to their country to brighten our future and give hope to people back home but we think its disgusting when people speak their mind .We say we beieve in democracy but don't have any idea what freedom of speech is freedom of religion is. Let people express themself explore try to see their point of view if you don't like it don't receive it as simple as that. By the way don't forget Christains are the most generous people in the world anywhere there is a need their they are extending their helping hand. Preaching was illigal in nepal because of the revolution now somehow it has been possible to preach now. So many Christains has done so much for nepal from building hospitals to building schools to orphanges you just didn't know that most of these generous people were christains trying to spread love of chris because they were not allowed to talk about christ or preach it was illigal now they can . Praise God for people who have courage to spread good news of God. They are the ones with beautiful feet.

 Kiddo, You need to look up the definition of "Cult" before further discussion. I am not sure what you are trying to imply here. There are two kinds of religions: universal and ethnic. Christianity, Islam, Buddhism fall under universal category while Hinduism and Judaism are ethnic religions. 

Christians are actively marketing their religion and converting others, while none of the other religions are doing it. If this continues for a century, there will not be any other religions left except christianity.

I did what you asked me to do. I don't see how it is so different to any religion. Now, you tell me what's the difference between religion and a cult, other than the number of followers. Also, you just listed two categories of religion, that doesn't mean it is different than a cult.

 I don't see anything wrong with that. As long as they don't put a gun on their head to convert them, it is a freedom of speech and freedom to practise what they believe. If you're not interested, simply say "No, thanks". You can do the same thing here in the USA to convert Americans into Hindu, you're protected by the law.Nobody is stopping you. Just because they have a different approach does not mean they are wrong. For those who believe Christain will ruin our nation, take a look at South Korea and Philippines. Early on, they thought the same and the Christains were prosecuted left and right. As of now, it has not stopped Korea from becoming a power house and their culture is still intact. Creating fear is also a part of religious propaganda, let us not forget that.

Its amazing how everyone is bashing me just because i am for freedom of speech and freedom of religion . Every one can have their own opinion .and should be able to express themself exactly the way they want to .
