@bakakallu

Sorry for another reply, but I just checked "my.uscis.gov/account" and it says "In Progress" with date of July 26th. Does that mean latest work done my case was on that date? Did u had similar situation.

@Spandey: we can raise an ombudsman https://www.state.gov/s/ombudsman/ , but it needs to be a collective effort rather than an individual effort. Also it needs to be supported by evidence - where IOE of early and late applicant against reception of approval needs to be matched.
It will be really hard to fight uscis. In fact I have already called 4 times and connected with higher level officer - first time k had a very rude officer who complained how hard he and others were working, I just didn't want to mouth him. Second time I had a very uninteresting officer who was speaking as if he had constipation going on. 3rd and 4th time the officers were nice but all they would say is that it can take between 4-6 months at Nebraska center where all the IOE for Nepal is most likely sent (I would surprised to see that tps for Nepal is handled at other places for such a small number of applicant).
If we want to raise ombudsman we better do it now and get some evidence.
Last time my tps was approved almost at around 6th month, but since I hadn't applied for ead I didn't care much.

Let me know if you want to discuss it further. I will PM you.

I just checked my case and also the cases before and after me by adding and reducing 1 digits at a time. All the cases before me are approved and produced while my case (IOEXXXXXXXXX6) plus 10 more after me don't have any signs of update. But again the cases after that are approved and produced. Most of the cases around my number should be based on Tps, ead for Nepal (except few daca cases) and have the same receipt date of may 31st. How come this is fucking happening ? Something is wrong.

@Guitarcenter : thank you for your words (I mean it). My job was due to start yesterday and it is in my current location. I am not sure how long the employers are willing to wait. Else I would have cared less about this thing. But whatever it may be, USCIS isn't really processing the documents on first come first serve basis.
It's really stressful.

@pyackman: try to check other numbers before and after you - see if you are in that island of cases whose case is not being touched. If possible we will have to raise ombudsman but collectively.

@ Spandey808

Before I have same situation it was showing July 22nd for week and then 31st July for a week. Yesterday it was updated as case approved. If you have a patience just give 1-2 weeks to get approval.

Why are you panicking? Its just been 2 months. Yes USCIS may have messed up the work order but its too early to take any action on this. As I have mentioned earlier somewhere, its useless even to put a case inquiry right now. Once it crosses the 3 month mark then maybe you can start to voice this. But I don't see any other way right now than to just wait.

I understand your case and that you can't start your job without the EAD, but it is what it is, even if you voice it, it will still take months. With past experience, placing a case inquiry only causes more delay. Have patience, wait it out.

@guitarcenter: I only applied for TPS in last two terms, only tps with ead this term. The employer ran the everify which didn't pass through, so that is no way to land the job with out the card. Also tried the self everify. Had uscis processed the document my everify would make through even without the card at hand.

@pyckman: there is no panicking but frustration - I suggest you read the definition. I have nothing to do except be at the mercy of random chances - which is even more brutal. It's the incompetence of uscis that it processes document so haphazardly. I understand that raising voice won't help only individually but bureaucracy of this nature should be reported - I wonder if anyone would still listen though.
The only reason you are cool is because you probably have a job and old ead. I have been jobless for 2 months now - try to understand not criticize.

TPS EAD doesn't affect f1 if you are still maintaining full time. This was a confusing topic when tps started for Nepal, but now its clear that if you have maintained full time f1 while on tps and using ead it doesn't violate no fucking thing. I have friend who were f1 full time, used tps ead outside university for job and now have f1 opt. So no it doesn't fucking matter and you are stupid to promote this idea after 4 years people have used tps, ead benefit for all these years. You are trying to confuse people which is similar to what fucking stupid trump does.

@pyacman: Why do you lol bro? Its not about anything else you said, but that lie and confusion you tried to promote is totally ridiculous and pathetic. As a adult I am sure you know that what you said is wrong and could affect people’s decision, so try not to promote wrong ideas in people.

The law is only effective when the usage of TPS EAD for an F-1 person comes to the notice of the DSO or USCIS. Although a violation, nothing will happen if noone knows. No penalty until you get called out. Stating facts. But then again, its your own wish. Do what makes you happy.

@pyackman:

When applying for tps and ead most of student have to fill our status on the form prior to that earth quake which was f1, f2 - how does dso or uscis not know about it??
I have examples from several friends who have done this and transitioned to f1 opt.

This was a confusing topic when people first started using tps ead, but no more. Stop confusing people.

Those blogs you posted are bullshit attorneys. I have seen some attorneys put ads as - "you need to hire attorney to fill tps, ead document". Unless you don't know English and/or not familiar with internet there is no need of attorney, coz matters with tps are straight forward.

Also those blog are designed to be convoluted to confuse people. Either your English is weak or you are just trying to win the argument - I guess later.

Finally the words of law can be interpreted as judge and/or attorney wants- but in the last 4 years the conclusion is that "you won't be violating your f1,f2 status if you are maintaining it by remaining full time".
In regards to b1,b2 I don't know how tps,ead affects their status as I haven't done study in it.
If new administration changes its attitude and meaning of all this benefits after tps ends in 2019 that's a different story.

@everestial007,

looks like the topic drifted from when I was here last time. Anyways, my answer to you on Ombudsman is I don't think we can do it until its 90 days. Based on my last experience (that was my first time for TPS EAD) I contacted the Ombudsman after 90 days, they took 15 days to reply, asking for complete list of documents and any additional email or contact I may have had with USCIS and they were still suggesting me to wait on response from USCIS. which turnout to be 5 months. I had job offer which I din get because, they waited more than month and finally revoke the offer.

I wish u don't have to go through my situation last time. just give it a time. When things are not going the way we want it, its hard and painful but there is so little we can do about it.

Sorry I wouldn't be any better help on this.
