Hi all!!

I wanted to share with you all an article I have come across recently. I am sure many of you have heard of it and are well aware of it. Even then, I thought it would not be a waste to mention about it here on Sajha , for the news relates to someone amongst us that shines like the Sun , true to her name as well as virtues...

I do believe, with due respect to her, that every Sajhabashis should read it. I hope I am not on the dangerous grounds by posting this message...

The article can be found here....

http://www.nation.com.np/column_4.htm

Enjoy!!

This thread seems to have a life of its own, fueled by people's energies! Wonderful!

Republican:

You are correct, I welcome a good critique and also that I am given to sarcasm when I hear buzz words/ statements like "dissecting the Nepalese Psyche" from out of the blue. The "self-promotional plug-in" would have continued had I not restrained myself mentally and physically! :) BTW, did I tell you what kind of a car I drive....? :P

I confess, and here I am being candid, the notes and letters did reassure me that it was just a handful of people (those that were caught!) who were for the violence; you must have read the very many hate threads that cropped up in Sajha before San's intervention. Hence, the comment on "the majority for peace....." It was more from relief than the need to patronize.

I don't feel that you have said "mean" things against the article and I agree with you on the article of the American Psychologist who devoted a lot of time on the analysis. I do thank you for returning to clarify your position; I appreciate it. A psychoanalysis(with or without a background in it! ;) of any given situation is tricky and the use of buzz words is trickier, no? :)

***********************************************
Scatterbrains:
Whew! I couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you for taking the time to understand the view of the article and also for expressing your thoughts.

LB: Scary news, scarier facts. Thank you!

Passinthru: Amen to that!

**************************************************
Keep tuned! More articles and book reviews coming up! hehe!

In Peace, For Peace!

"you must have read the very many hate threads that cropped up in Sajha before San's intervention."

yes, there were hate threads here in sajha, which was not right at all, but i assure youall the f ppl who have been writing in this thread including me had no connection, whatsoever to those hate posts...i am tired of commenting on this article, now it has rather became a funnier post, by arrogant thugs interfering and using their foul mouth as a weapon..

so yes, SItara, at last, you sure can ignore me, but again, ur just to irrisistable kalam wali bai, to ignore...what wud sajha be like, without u sitara? :)

Sitara jyu,

Since you've ribbed me about the use of a certain phrase twice, let me also candidly confess that my knowledge of this foreign language is limited to cliches and buzz words. I wouldn't be able to put a sentence together without them :)

What car do you drive, by the way? And while you're at it, please tell me the value of your real estate property too.

Republican ji:
Damn, you could have fooled me! As for the others--- aah! that's where I put my restraint. :)

Hello 4 mystery: Who art thou?
As destructive as that hummmm? :)
Why don't you start a thread on poems and I will continue... been awhile since Sajha saw poetry no?

Sitara,

As a matter of fact, I am working on a ghazal that I am hoping to recite at our local Mushai'ra this weekend. It's not complete yet. But I could not wait, especially after hearing your surmon. Besides it's maqta very much resonates what your musing was all about. So here it is, incomplete but I am happy to share it with you all on this thread...

The sajha captivates articles of mulish author who advant-grade horrendos act of moaist back in civilisation of NEPAL. They act dim-witted in forum in name of intellectuality for cogent which fails to restore hegemony just by regulating from oversea reading and listening to facts overshowed by media. I observed author of sajhais just demanding for plea on moron semblance just being part of intellectual cortal. I dont think any civil who has been going through taruma can vindiate their writing which is permanently injudicious for houded articles. My only request is to not to be obstinate for delve into.........

God bless every soul

A technical correction. I should be saying matla and not maqta. Gosh, I always confuse these two words. [matla= opening couplet, maqta= concluding couplet of a ghazal].

Just checked to see if anybody has commented on my ghazal yet and saw the error. Oops.. there goes my attention seeking...

Nepe ji:
Wah wah! How do you do it--- evoke imagery within the limits of rhyme, rhythm and reason?!
Thank you sir, surely, Sajha needs more gazals.

Hey hey, TMA... long time no see! Your last piece about bar-hopping in Auzziland was a great piece. Anymore in the make? :) BTW, Was that a rabid dingo whining in the hinterlands? Couldn't quite catch the gist of what it was saying!

haha moneyminded bro, hahahaha...u r funny man..
bro, lets nott get personal out here, commenting abt good and bad asses,.

anywaz, bro, what u said was right, ppl get oppurtunities, they go to BIG BIG PRIVATE SKOOLS in nepal, then they go to TOP INDIAN colleges to study, its all abt money man, if u have money u have everything, u can ask for in this world....and esp. on poor countries like nepal, if you have money oppurtunity not only knocks on ur door, but BReaks it open..

A poem goes for SITARA!

"THERE IS SO MUCH CLUTTER AROUND ME... "

Clutter created by things that i have been
adding to my world,
which if substracted
wil make no diffrence
and which if deleted,
will simplify my life,
will multiply my joy and
will divide my stresses.

Look at this clutter of nice manners,
flowery words and enforced smiles,
when all i need is simple and pure love
for my fellow human beings.

Look at this clutter of
powders and cosmetics,
eye shadows and lipstick,
when all i need to wear
is a genuine sincere
smile on my lips
along with truth,
and twinkle of hope in my eyes.

look
at this clutter of fancy titles
and ego-boosting designation
adorning
my business card,
when all i need is the willingness to
serve the human kind
and
to share my skills and,
knowledge that help me serve.

Look at this clutter of
calenders and clocks,
dairies and fancy management tools,
when all i need is to
engage myself in things
which my heart most desires.
For time goes by so quickly
and i remember you well,
when i do things that truly love and enjoy,
i hate to do.

Then there is this clutter of materials
accumulated for the future,
when all i need is just the things
that will help me live fully
in the here and now.

I often ponder how simple and blissful
my life could become if only.
if only i could get rid of
so much clutter around me!

(This poem is copyed and pasted frm my mystical foe's tablet.
Dear forgive me!
Chill out!!)

Sitara,

Arko truti sudhar. Maile lekhna pugechhu, 'Besides it's maqta [matla]very much resonates what your musing was all about'. In retrospect, it is not only way too exaggerated but also sounds as an arrogant assertion. In no way, this tiny couplet summarizes all the thoughts you have expressed in your musings.

However, a point to remember about ghazal is that, itýs couplets, by their very nature of compactness, are granted to be liberally interpreted, particularly the symbols and metaphors used. In the matla above , the meaning of 'sarakar' is not limited to His Majestyýs Government, but all authorities, political or moral, all stakeholders and every person and institution who has power to influence. With this interpretation, it does capture some of the messages from your musings.

And thank you for your 'Wah Wah'. Nikorsi Virginia ma hune Mushai'ra mai aayera 'shubhanallah' pani thapidine ho ki ?
