Need for a PRO- Pahadiya  political force ?

 

We all have been following the recent political development in the country and no matter what I am getting frustrated day by day.  And recent election of Vice-president is kind of a last drop.

 

What I am proposing and working towards is a kind of Pro- Pahadiyas political force. Now its been crystal clear that so called “ national parties “ are incapable of protecting our interests , and not only that they are even afraid to raise the voice.

 

 

So I would like to put some questions here for the discussion.

 

Do we need a pro-pahadiya political force?

 

What kind of force ? A political party? A  pressure group?    A secret lobby group? A secret intellectual think tank?

 

Do you  think that a equally strong but opposite political force to neutralise the “Madhesikaran” , will be necessary? Good for country?

 

Will such political force be viable in the long term and be effective , without any foriegn support? What are the possibilites or non-possiblities?

 

Would you financially support these kind of forces ?

पहिले त्यति नाम नसुनिएको एउटा संगठन राष्ट्रिय मुक्ति सेना नेपालले सञ्चारमाध्यमहरुमा आज एउटा प्रेस वक्तव्य पठाएको छ। वक्तव्यमा सेनाको चौथो केन्द्रीय समितिको बैठक साउन ५ गते नुवाकोटको एक गोप्य स्थानमा सम्पन्न भएको भन्दै बैठकले स्वाभिमानी नेपालमाथि औपनिवेश बनाउन यहाँका विभिन्न स्रोत साधनमा आँखा गाड्दै आएको भारतले संघिय लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र घोषणा पछि पहिलो राष्ट्रपति निर्वाचनमा गरेको हस्तक्षेपप्रति घोर भर्त्सना गरेको छ। बैठकका निर्णयहरु सहित प्रेषित वक्तव्यलाई जस्ताको तस्तै पढ्न भित्र आउनुस्-

मितिः २०६५ साउन ६ गते

राष्ट्रिय मुक्ति सेना नेपालको चौथो केन्द्रीय समितिको बैठक यही साउन ५ गते नुवाकोटको एक गोप्य स्थानमा सम्पन्न भएको छ। स्वाभिमानी नेपालमाथि औपनिवेश बनाउन यहाँका विभिन्न स्रोत साधनमा आँखा गाड्दै आएको भारतले संघिय लोकतान्त्रिक गणतन्त्र घोषणा पछि पहिलो राष्ट्रपति निर्वाचनमा गरेको हस्तक्षेपप्रति घोर भर्त्सना गर्दै बैठकले निम्न महत्वपूर्ण र दूरगामी निर्णयहरु गरेको छः

१.२००७, २०३६, २०४६ र २०६३ सालमा जनताले ठूलो बलिदान र त्याग गरेर सम्पन्न ऐतिहासिक क्रान्तिहरु भारतीय विस्तारवादको हस्तक्षेपमा बीचैमा टुङग्याउने कामहरु भयो। नेपालका विभिन्न राजनीतिक दलमा ‘रअ’ का एजेन्टहरु छिराएर यहाँका राजनीतिमा प्रत्यक्ष हस्तक्षेप गर्दै आएको भारतीय विस्तारवादले पछिल्लो पटक संविधान सभाको निर्वाचनबाट सबैभन्दा ठूलो दलको रुपमा स्थापित ने.क.पा. माओवादीमा हस्तक्षेप गरी जबरजस्त रुपमा दलिय सहमतिको राजनीति अन्त्य गराएको छ। वर्षौदेखि नेपाली राजनीतिमा नाङ्गो हस्तक्षेप गर्दै आएको भारतको असली चरित्र जनताले राम्ररी अनुभव गर्ने मौका पाएका छन्। नेपालको राजनीतिमा भारतीय विस्तारवादले गर्दै आएको हस्तक्षेप तत्काल अन्त्यको माग गर्दै नेपालमा रहेका विभिन्न राजनीतिक दल तिनका भातृसंगठनलाई ‘रअ’ को एजेन्ट तत्काल त्यागेर नेपाली जनताको लागि काम गर्न राष्ट्रिय मुक्ति सेनाको केन्द्रिय समिति बैठक आग्रह गर्दछ। त्यसै गरी राष्ट्रपति बनाउन नेपालको राजधानीमा आई सक्रिय रहेका भारतीय पूर्वराजदूत के.भी. राजनलाई तत्काल देश छोड्न र अबका दिनमा कुनै पनि विस्तारवादी षड्यन्त्र बोकेर नेपाल नआउन चेतावनी दिन चाहन्छौं।

२. नेपाल र भारतबीच सन् १९५०मा भएको असमान सन्धि र पूर्वमा टिष्टादेखि काँकडासम्मको झण्डै एक तिहाई भू-भाग गुम्ने गरी भएको सुगौली सन्धि खारेजीको मागलाई घनिभूत रुपमा बहसमा ल्याउने केन्द्रीय समितीले निर्णय गरेको छ। नेपाललाई भारतको दास बनाउने यी दुई सन्धि खारेज गर्ने आवाज बुलन्द गर्न हामी विभिन्न राजनीतिक दल, बुद्धिजीवी, नागरिक समाज, पत्रकार, वकील, आम जनता सबैमा हार्दिक अपिल गर्दछौं।

३. नेपाल र भारतबीचको सीमालाई तत्काल बन्द गर्न आग्रह गर्दै खुला सीमानाको कारण भारतीय अपराधीहरु नेपालमा प्रवेश गरेर आपराधिक घटनाहरु घटाउने, तस्करी गर्ने लगायतका हर्कत भइरहेकोले खुला सीमानालाई तत्काल बन्द गरी भिसा प्रणाली लागू गर्नु पर्ने ठहर यस केन्द्रीय समिति गर्दछ।

४. नेपाल जलस्रोतको धनी मुलुक, यहाँको अपार जल सम्पदामाथि भारतले सँधै गिद्दे दृष्टि लगाएको यथार्थ कसै सामू छिपेको छैन। महाकाली, कोशी, गण्डकीलगायतका नदीहरुलाई भारतले आफ्नो पन्जामा पारिसकेको छ र अझै पनि यहाँको नदिहरु भारतीय स्वार्थमा प्रयोग हुने क्रम जारी छ। पछिल्लो पटक अरुण तेस्रो, माथिल्लो कर्णाली, पश्चिम सेती, बुढी गण्डकी आदि नदी घुमाउरो पारामा भारतलाई दिने निर्णय गरिएको छ। त्यस्ता कार्य तत्काल बन्द गर्न नेपाल सरकार समक्ष बैठक आग्रह गर्दछ।

५. नेपालमा रहेका केही शैक्षिक संस्थामा भारतीय पाठ्यक्रम पढाई भइरहेको जानकारीमा आएको र त्यस्ता संस्थाले आजको मितिबाट ३० दिन भित्रमा त्यस्ता पाठ्यक्रम अध्यापन गराउन बन्द गरी नेपाली पाठ्यक्रम अध्यापन गराउन पत्राचार गर्न र नमानेमा कारवाही गर्ने निर्णय यस केन्द्रीय समिति गर्दछ।

६. नेपालको संस्कृतिमाथि नाङ्गो भारतीय हस्तक्षेप तत्काल बन्द गर्न जोडदार माग गर्दछौं। नेपालको घर-घरमा भारतीय जीवन शैली, संस्कृति भित्रनु नेपालीकै शिर निहुराउने काम भइराखेको छ। नेपाली हलहरुमा भारतीय सिनेमा देखाउने विस्तारै बन्द गरिनुपर्दछ। नेपालीको घर-घरबाट केबलको माध्यमबाट पुर्‍याइएको विस्तारवादी संस्कृतिलाई बन्द गरिनुपर्दछ। विस्तावादी संस्कृति भित्राउने टिभी च्यानलहरु नेपालमा प्रसारणमा रोक लगाउन नेपाल सर।कार र सम्बन्धित निकाय समक्ष हार्दिक अनुरोध गर्दछ।

Such party is already there. 'chure bhawar'.
It is also in alliance with MRPF,UML and NC. Strange init?

I feel that the MJF leaders are a bunch of opportunists who gained power through a sudden pro-madhesi wave in the terai in last the elections. It is more like the RPP in the mid 1990s: a club of independent leaders without any definite ideology. The other two madhes-based parties are the representatives of the southern neighbour, sincerely following whatever the ambassador says.

Having small regional or communal parties is the worst thing in a developing country like ours.  A pro-pahadia force will certainly create more divisions. We already have three big national parties; weakening the national parties further can make the communal forces more decisive. I feel that the national parties should be made stronger against the regional parties. But of course,  the big question- "How??". They are being controlled by outdated leaders. They must be internally more democratic and promote inclusive representation in their party portfolios. Any answer to  

"What kind of force ? A political party? A  pressure group?    A secret lobby group? A secret intellectual think tank? "

 

should better try to change the internal structure and democracy within the national parties instead of forming another party that might just become one like the Praja Parishad, Janajati party or the new Chure Bhabar.  Anyway, more discussions are required on such things...

'chure bhawar samaj' encompass mostly the pahadis living in terai belt. how about merging entire pahadis into one group that will include a pahadi farmer to a pahadi phd, from a new born pahadi to eldest pahadi? we are weak today cause we have divisons amongst ourselves, we have too many smaller parties representing ethnic groups. if these can be brought together and we have an unbeatable force, thinktanks etc. today, this very weakness of pahadis have paved a way for them to rise and rule.

somewhere some said if girija can wear daural suruwal, why can't they wear dhoti kurta. helloooooo, our national dress is not DHOTI?

Believe me I do follow nepali politics  so I am quiet aware of Chure-Bhawar, they are one of the possibilites, but informations about them are so sketchy that I dont know have any informations to base my trust on them. But yes they are a possibilites. I am going to Nepal soon and I am going to try contacting some of the leaders and try to get more information regarding their interests, and overall politics and issues.

The next 2 years is going to be very crucial in the nation building. There is going to be a lots of change in the national structure , including a new constitution. And the ball is in our court , do we want to lay the foundation stones in fear,  intimidation , and constant threat from different interests groups ? The  recent elections clearly showed that there is a very very strong PRO-MADHESH force.And in the name of inclusion really submission is happening.  They work for their interest but what about us, who is there to take care of our interests? So its time to work for our interests and remember its you and me who has to do OUR work.

The country is already divided, But I see the real possibilites of uniting a major chunk of the divided polulation under the PRO-PAHADIYAS banner. Pro-pahadiya is not necessarily anti madhesh or anti india. WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF OUR INTERESTS.

There are many sajha members who are pissed off and expressing the frustration by badmouthing in the various forums and disscussion boards. I hope to channel this force into something which can bring about the change.

Well the questions is what can be the pro-pahadiyas issues? For example lets counter the demands of Madhesis by asking 50% reservations in madhesis dominated professions like Overseers, and Health Assistant. Lets ask for the 50% reservations for Pahadiyas in the industries and gov offices in Terai.

I also want to be part of your pressure group and intellectual think tank.....By the way since you are going to Nepal, I would ask you to ask chure bhawar to make their website and post information there so that Nepali abroad can support them financially and many other ways......

I am already in contact with some of my collegues with whom I share the same principles. In the recent future we are trying to give more exposure to the Chure-Bhawar in Nepali Press. Idea is to make them known in nepali press with their views so that we can choose to be part of it or else.

What I really wanted was a kind of debate here in Sajha. But  tragically it seems like none are interested in actually coming up with the ideas or  alternatives. What I want to tell all Sajhabasi is , its natural to be angry and pissed off , but instead of " gali garing" , why dont you try making things happen. I can see there are many threads , like I hate this , I dont like that, I cannot see madhesis as Prez. People enthusiastically commenting on what to wear and not . But what are we going to achieve with all this complains other than stomach ulcers.

I once again ask all of you to give your input into this thread.

But I  have noted your enthusiasm and I am sure we will come up with a more bigger platform if we could garner enough support from the fellow Nepalis.

Well this is just a discussion on if we need a PRO-PAHADIYAS political force , or NOT? and if I understand , you dont want it because of fear of civil war.

Well if that is the case.. I only have to say one thing. Pro-Madhesi voice is justified, but Pro- pahadiya voice will lead to civil war??????? , where is the logic?? What is wrong in speaking for your own interests?

And if the recent political development continues in Nepal , civil war is inevitable, QUESTION is Whether we can do anything to stop it and if it happens anyhow  whether you want to be on the winning side or loosing side.

We already have many divisions, and we don't need one more. We need pro-NEPALI force. The title 'pro-pahadiya' tells everything, it'll create a division among pahadiyas, himalis and madhesis. NO MORE DIVISIONS.

I am not not in approval of the Pro-Madhesi or pro any movement except for PRO-NEPALI MOVEMENT. If we keep this up, pretty soon we will be back to where we were before Nepal as a country was born. If that does happens, it will be very easy for India to engulf each ethnic group peice by peice. There is nohing wrong with speaking for your own interest, but if this continues then pretty soon we will have Pro-Sherpa, Pro-Gurung, Pro-Newar, Pro-Chetri, Pro-Bahun etc. etc. And when these forces clash-->THERE GOES NEPAL AS YOU AND I KNOW.

To those who think that Pro-Pahidya group is bad and would create division I guess you have no clue as to what is happening in Terai......First off where were you idiots when Kapilvastu incident happened....... I didn't hear sh*t from u idiots who are here right now and barking about let live as a Nepali........ Its easy for u dumb a** to sit and talk about love and harmony but does world revolve around that?....... Also about a month or so ago there were also reports of Pahadi fleeing some parts of terai where they have lived for generations so where is your voice for that........ I know they can't expect sh*t from dumb a** like u so that is why Rai dai is thinking of starting a group that would fight for the Pahade rights........Ignorants pricks just come here and say lets all join hands and be Nepali.......

Unless our reliance on India for the basic necessities can be substituted with an alternative, I'll say DREAM ON. Madhesi know this and that is why they're so BALLSY. Cursed with the treacherous terrain, our only hope will be China. If we can get food and fuel from China, then we have something to start with. Other than that, I don't see how you can defeat the Madhesi.
Look towards the North, learn Chinease and make your moves. That's all we can do right now.

All ur points are valid. The name 'Pro-Pahadiya' can be changed. It indicates only the pahadis (hilly). we should come up with a name that encompass the entire pahadiyas. See MJF encompass even the reluctant tharus even though they are against one madhes-one province thing.

My friend told me that a inspector from Birtatnagar had his throat slit and his body thrown into a small pond near the road. This is just one example. When I was in Chitwan I heard some horror stories how pahadiyas were treated and how they were selling thier lands and moving to ktm etc.

If 100 or more madhesis from ~ 5 millions can sacrifice their lives and elect their own kind to the highest post, we are ~24 million. But voilence is not the right choice. If 25 million mass become one and gather momentum nobody can stop us.
