I would guess that this probably didn't happen in 2075. Today there are news reporters from all strata of the society. So why would they single you out in a reporters gathering. So a disclaimer should have been made available that this is your fictional article. Otherwise this only serves to create tension in the society. Sorry to say you are trying to create division in our society by calling your group and my group.
I am quite surprised at the amount of Jat-bhat articles in media these days. Today there is money to be made from international organizations if you can rise as a dalit defender.

There is much difference in the intention of these two statements.
First I look at the title which says "Your face looks like a Dalit face". अनुहार हेर्दै तल्लो जातजस्तो!
The reporter (let's call reporter A) in your article says " You don't look like a dalit". "कस्तो है तिमी त, दलितजस्तै देखिँदैनौ "

Looking at just this statement, reporter A might mean that 'you are well dressed for a dalit.' Notice he/she didn't comment on your face. This reporter might have wrongly guessed as has been published in the media that a biswokarma has suffered at the hands of the upper caste. He was perhaps not expecting a well dressed, well heeled and well educated person.

There will always be bad apples in any society. In the west there are red-necks who call all colored people immigrants and so forth not realizing that their own ancestors came from overseas . That doesn't mean you assume that Christianity in the Society harbors conservatism.

So instead of giving your opinion about the Hindu religion based on this experience it would do you good if you spent some time learning about the teachings of the Hindu Dharma which prescribes " THE WHOLE WORLD IS ONE FAMILY". वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् There is no other. So learn to see Good in others and you will love yourself.
