Are Bahun Chettris Greek descendent? Very unlikely. But one might get confused by similar caucosoid features, which by the way, is shared by many nationalities from Afghans to Uzbeks, to go alphabetically. Read Jarod Diamond's book "Guns, Germs and Steel" for more information on this. With recent upsurge of Greek popularity due to Olympic Games and Hollywood movies like Troy and Alexander, it is natural for some of our brethrens to wish to consider ourselves Greek descendent. But, as Bhattu mentioned, that is merely a wishful thinking. Now about "Najayej" part, there were lot of cross breeding going on. But I think, more so, with musalmans (mughals) than with other race in Northern India. So one may consider Bahun Chettris to be najayej descendents of musalmans' raping and pillaging. Those who escaped to the hills of Nepal, cross-bred with Hill communities (mongolians). So, for Nepali Bahun Chettris, they are more the product of Indian/Hill stock. Hoina ra?
