The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is looking for Civil Transportation Engineers to join their team. Do work that matters in the State you love.
Caltrans manages more than 50,000 miles of California's highway and freeway lanes, provides inter-city rail services, permits more than 400 public-use airports and special-use hospital heliports, and works with local agencies. Caltrans carries out its mission of providing a safe, sustainable, integrated and efficient transportation system to enhance California’s economy and livability.
Caltrans has been active in moving the people and commerce of California for more than 100 years from a loosely connected web of footpaths and rutted wagon routes to the sophisticated system that today serves the transportation needs of more than 30 million residents.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ON CHECK IN DAY:
Original photo identification and a copy of your photo identification.
Signed and completed State Application (STD 678) https://jobs.ca.gov/pdf/std678.pdf (reference Job Control 108691) and transkripts.
Minimum of two letters of reference with contact information. Reference checks will be conducted the day(s) of interview.
If you do not have a degree in Civil Engineering at the time of interview, a letter from your university registrar’s office with degree and date of graduation will suffice.
If you possess a valid certificate as an Engineering-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamental of Engineering (FE) certificate from any state, please bring.
If you have your Professional License in Civil Engineering (from any state) please bring.
If you have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from ABET* accredited college or university, please bring.
