SAD BUT TRUE: Every story has its end. THE streaks of CornKuskers melted in their own home, like the snow collected from last couple of days. so much to the disappointment of Too PRoud fans of the Nebraska footbal fan, THE BUFFS bullied their way towards victory and to the BIG 12 championship bowl game. ANd of course, towards a better earning $$$$ BOWL game. Certainly the west-coast offense didn't work. But is Callahan ready to make changes to his strategies in the coming season? We will wait and see. Notre Dame didn't help the Auburn tIgers cause either. instead they made it worse. another blowout win for the Trojans and a decesive lead in the BCS. Maybe, the Tigers only hope this time around is to expect an upset in the BIg 12 championship game ( well, the BUffaloes surely did keep the game close until the last quarter last year). Or, the Tigers can expect the game to be a very close one (as close as possible if Sooners are to win) complemented with their own HUGE BLOw out win agains the # 15 ranked VOlunteers in the SEC title game. And then they should hope the judges to favor them HUGELY over the Sooners (unless TRojans get beaten by UCLA) in the polls such that they skip to the all important #2 spot in the overall BCS ranking despite the vast difference in the COmputer rankings (between the two teams). As of now, simple win by both the TRojans and the Sooners over their opponents next week will see them facing each other in the most important ORANGE BOWL. Actually, I am more concerned about the Longhorns leap-frogging the California Bears. THeir win against the Aggies certainly closed the gap in the BCS avg. but came out short as of taking the lead against the Golden Bears. Right now the difference in the BCS Avg. is 0.0023 between these teams. A very average performance of the G. BEars against the G. Eagles (Southern Miss.) might help the Texas cause. THE Eagles (Hometown Boston) really disappointed me. While the eagles inthe NFC clinched their division, the Eagles in the BIG east Conference failed to do so. With WVU mountaineers already out of the way, all BC needed was a win against the ORangemen, and they just fell to do that. As a consequence, they didn't only fail to clinch the conference title but also lost the top 25 spot in the BCS ranking. finally, I am NOT Surprised not to see any postings IN FAVOR of the Auburn Tigers yet. seems like all of their supporters became tired like most of those ESPN analysts. Hope the Sooners to Collapse in the BIG XII title game like they did last year against Kansas State! That can certainly help their cause. I do like the Tigers. it's just that only the TOP 2 teams in the BCS ranking get to play for the CHampionship game. GO SOONERS Jai Nepal
