DC bro, the daffynishuns are hilarious ! On another tack, I am gratified and encouraged to see the growing body of work in the writer's guild. We have some prolific contributors emerging, and yet others testing the waters. Hopefully, the guild provides a supportive and welcome environment that encourages creativity and is inclusive of a wider range of emerging talent. Pursuant to our conversation earlier this summer, I continue to develop the idea of a writer's workshop. Towards which end I am putting in some behind the scenes legwork. Last weekend the Smithsonian ran a South Asian writer's forum. I rushed over as soon as I heard about it, but was disappointed I missed Arundhati Roy by minutes. Neverthless, my ambitions rise yet further for our creative talent. As we see more people overcome their inhibitions and allow their creativity free rein, I dare say the best is yet to come.
