News of highway accidents seems to have stopped coming from Nepal -- not because the highways have become safer but due to Maoist threats, fewer people, buses and trucks now appear to ply on Nepal's highways. What sad times in Nepal!! Meantime, that transport mantri -- Panth -- still hasn't gotten around to forming a "high-level commission" to look into the causes of unsafe highways and propose do-able solutions.
