This Weekend as any other weekends was full of football madness. It was hard to see Michigan get knocked down by the Buckeyes. thier ROse Bowl hopes...... Sooners were impressive again. they were able to make an statement for themselves as the BCS champion contender. Despite all the RUMORS/controversies around the NCAA they shut down the rival Baylor. 35-0 score was enough to close their gap with #1 Trojans in the BCS overall standing (esp. AP and Coaches Poll). They were terrific both on Ground and on AIr. That game might have some Heisman implications. A. Peterson had the edge over Jason White. IF TRojans do not win their remaining games with very comfortable margins .. given that Auburun beats Tennessee pretty convincingly.. they can be on hot seat also. Sooners should win the BIG 12 TITLE game against CU/ISU very comfortably. And that should help their cause in terms of AP/Coaches poll. It can be another disapponting season for the AUburn Tigers even if they beat the Volunteers. USC is a big favorite against both NOtre Dame and UCLA. Well... one can expect the Fighting IRish to give A good shot against the TRojans as they did against the Wolverines. Yet, There aren't many reasons why USC Shouldn't beat Notre Dame or UCLA. And they don't have to play the Conference Championship. Which is a big adavantage for them because California Golden Bears are more than capable of pulling the upset (On OCt. 9th they lost by 6 points only). This leaves AUburn out of ORange bOwl contention. It really is going to be a sad season for them. THe TIgers win against the Alabama Crimson TIde didn't help their cause by much either. Despite the bitter rivalry of these two schools, Alabama was unranked and came into the game with a mediocre 6-4 record. From POLLIng stand point That wasn't a very impressive win for the tIgers. While their nearest rival (OU in terms of BCS ranking) had an outstanding game, the Tigers trailed the Crimson Tides going to the Halftime. they won by a final score of 21-13, which isimpressive in terms of a comeback win yet not impressive enough to gain any grounds in the BCS ranking. ONly an upset Against Trojans or the Sooners might help the Tigers at this point. After watching Auburn struggle against ALAbama... I doubt they will beat the Volunteers. Even if they did, that will be a very close game. Oh.. THis friday.. another bitter rivalry THE BUFFS against the c-Huskers. Huskers are already out of BIg 12 #2 seed contentio(sorry fellas) so they will try their best to stop THE Buffs from getting there. Yet, after all that happened to CU organization this gone off-season Coach Barnett will definitely like to have this game. GO SOONERS Jai NEpal
