Bibhav, I faced a similar dilemma to yours in 2001. I was going to Nepal for the summer via Singapore, but wanted to visit Sydney for a week on the way back. What I did was that I asked Singapore Airlines to add a week-long stopover in Singapore on my return trip. And then I bought a SIN-SYD-SIN ticket online through flights.com (they delivered the ticket to me at Singapore Airport on my way to Nepal). It worked out beautifully. Singapore Airlines didn't charge me anything for adding a stopover and the SIN-SYD-SIN ticket cost me less than $400 (I flew Malaysian Airlines, which had superb service). Maybe you can do a similar thing?? TitoMitho.
