Current trend in Nepal seems to use names starting from A, so that
your son don't have to line up for long hours or days whenever
service to him is provided based on alphabatical order.
In Nepal, when my interview was based on Nepali alphabet, I missed
my interview in Lok Sewa Ayog for permanent job and because of
too much delay due to my name starting from "GYA", I had to give up
the lok sewa ayog interview.......... No one knows if I had interview
and I would certainly pass the interview (based on other friends' sthiti)
and I would be serving Nepal and not here in USA.
Naming matters. But, name should not be AAA so that your son will
be interviewed as Number 1, which may deprive having clue on kinds
of questions asked in interview. Sometime, the first guy interviewed
gets less score than others. Anyway, a friend of mine said in US, in
job interviews, either the first one gets or the last one gets. Here,
I don't think interviews are on alphabetical orders, so no need to
worry about A or Zya, but, what suits your interest. In Japan,
a father went to court when his attempt register his son's name
as "DEVIL" was rejected by local authorities as a wrong name to a kid,
and they insisted him to find some decent names. Court also disappointed
him that father is given a right to name his son and it should be decent
enough in public.
Congratulations for the baby and give a name that is uniqe, decent
matches his actions in future, and he will be proud of you for the nice
name you have given to him. Name matters.
