Dear friends, The Gurung Community celebrate Ney Year during their Lhosar festival. Lho=Year, Sar = Change They have their own calendar. Similary Thakali may have their own. In actual practice we must promote all of them rather discussiong about replacing Bikram Sambat into others. All of them have their cultural value it never means that we must forget them. We have used Bikaram Sambat as our official Calendar what is wrong with it then? Do we have to copy Koreans? Do we have to be centralized in small community in kathmandu? pls do not politicize it !
