Hi @gsh,

I was in the same boat that you are in right now. As most of the thread suggests, have some patience. Most and foremost, built some confidence.

I also like to iterate that most of the new graduates are pouring in IT field as it has the charm of big pay and easy job and most probably the easiest way to greencard. If you just want to give it a try, then this might not be your field. You need to have the passion and enthusiasm to make it here.

Evaluate yourself, do not go for easy route. Most of us, recent college graduate, just goes whatever you hear from your circle. Research on your own. BA and QA are not only the field in IT, and most probably the hardest to get a job. Find your interest and more importantly look for your mentor. Touchbase with the people who has succeeded or have some experience in the domain. They will guide you. Do some research on the consulting firm too.

With the growing competition, and BA being the combination of technical expertise and business knowledge, there will be very limited interview opportunity. I hope you have had enough training. If you cannot handle the technical screening by yourself, then I reckon you are ready yet. Go back and invest this time of yours getting trained.

Right now, the consulting firm are scrutinizing every resume and grilling the candidates to their core competency. I would suggest you to rethink where you want to do in IT and if BA is the core thing, then apply by yourself too. Indeed is good job searching site, dice and monster are other too. Or there are indian marketers who will be willing to help you. You need to be a good product or at least sound technical enough for them to sell it. Once you put your resume out there, the consultant will reach out to you. Be prepare to handle those calls.

In terms of not getting any interview calls, usually we are nearing holiday seasons, so market is dull. But, here will be projects, as many managers have their budget in their expense or running behind their schedule for deliverables. Those people might hire.

Hope this thread motivates you and finds you well.
