Sorry to hear that. I used to live in TX and got a ticket in TX (ran red light) in 2008 or 9. As suggested by them,I paid, but they dismissed the case and did not report it to my driving record because:

1. I completed defensive driving course online immediately.
2. It was my first ever ticket.
