from my expirence getting a citizenship takes about a month. first you go to that office and file up the application and then go back there again to pick it up. make sure you put enough weight on your envolope and be really nice to the officers - like they're doing a big favor.... i think the office is behind singa durbar and make sure you put 2 elephant -notes in the envolope.
