Yes you will need to bridge those connections. I think VMware does not does not put the guest machines in the same network natively and right fully so because you want to isolate the guest as much as possible.

To fix the issue you can either change the network adapter type or like others suggested go to you host machines network properties and bridge those networks together. Read about network / bridges / switches to learn more on what they do.
