It has been my experience that pretty much everything is expensive in Nepal or Kathmandu to be exact as I don't know if that's the same in other parts of the country. However, people do not always get genuine and high quality products even though they pay a lot more. This is not limited to imported products. Even basic services or utilities are like that as well. It is really saddening.
