Man in custody for Aurora woman's death

KUSA - A 31-year-old man faces first-degree murder charges in the death of a woman found earlier this week in an Aurora apartment with apparent head trauma.

Nila Kanta Bhattarai was arrested for Thursday his alleged involvement in the unidentified victim’s death, who was found in the 1400 block of Macon Street at around 2:40 p.m. Monday.

Police had arrived at that apartment after receiving a report that a woman was down. Who called to make the report is unclear, as is whether or not Bhattarai knew the victim.

He is currently being held at the Arapahoe County Jail without bond.

No additional information was immediately available.
